http://micechat.com/9312-disney-world-rfid/ Hope this link works?! I say good for Disney! What do you guys think? ;)

I have to say I've never brought my cup back ... I usually lose it before the next trip ... And I also believe in being honest and fair . - kerielizibeth  10.5 #229 1:28PM
I'm all for it. People should know better some will take it as far as they can - tomevans13  251.9 #28 1:30PM
I've known about this since last August and I agree & disagree with Disney. I agree that with the cost of soda it's very expensive for families to keep buying refills. The refillable mug was a blessing. I do have to say that I am guilty of bringing my mug from the year before back to use instead of buying a new mug. But I know that soda is not cheap for Disney either and I'm going to abide by the new rules. - Tinkerbell1265  442.0 #17 12:59PM
Yea, I completely understand that! But I guess because I'm a play by the rules kind of gal, most of the time wink wink! Lol That it only seems fair, you know? Like when they came out with the new fastpass rule ... I never knew people came way after their time frame. I always came at the times on my fp. Lol Had I known ... lol j/k :D - JessiBelle22  78.4 #75 1:15PM
I've gotten a fast pass for an attraction and would not be able to make it back in time so I gave it to someone else in the park who would be I never considered coming back after .. - kerielizibeth  10.5 #229 1:30PM
I've done that too Keri! Spread the magic!! - Tinkerbell1265  442.0 #17 1:37PM
Did i miss something new??? Hi ... Tink!!!! - MommyMouseof2  25.0 #135 1:11PM
Hi Mommy!!! - Tinkerbell1265  442.0 #17 1:36PM
Soda or pop, which ever you prefer cost most businesses, like McD's and Disney about .10per cup. I think it'd take a lot before they were losing money on it. - DizneyGirl  670.7 #7 1:14PM
I'd like to say that even at this I have not reused a mug, just saying. - DizneyGirl  670.7 #7 1:17PM
I knew they tested that technology for a reason! I saw a couple of old red mugs last month! My wife and I were legit with dining plan mugs! - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #18 1:16PM
I am not sure how I feel about it. If the cup is for unlimited refil then it should not be regulated. If the problem is that people are returning with their old cup then change the cup every year. We pay enough money for a visit. I am not a soda drinker but my hubby and children are. We buy one cup each trip because I didnt know we get one frees cup all these years. - 5disneylovers  927.1 #4 1:41PM
No, this is just for older mugs from past trips. Or people who tend to refill the regular cups. From what I read for example the current mug you may have now ... It's free refills as long as it's past a 5 minute wait, from your last refill. - JessiBelle22  78.4 #75 1:56PM
Regardless it's not unlimited refills if the refill is regulated. They need to say limited refill lol - 5disneylovers  927.1 #4 2:13PM
I am with you if it's supposed to be unlimited let it be, my husband drinks pop like 2 a day (bad I know but he is really fit and it's his only vice lol)and they are big from my understanding even the new ones will let you know if you had too much and it seems like they only want you to have 1 refill per day. I had thought about buying one but he would be cut off within one day of our 7 day trip lol!! - ccmom  187.3 #42 2:48PM
My family only drinks soda on vacation it's not allowed at home. - 5disneylovers  927.1 #4 2:59PM
My husband is the only one who drinks it on a reg basis, we allow our son 1 pop per week and on occassion I grab a caffiene free diet but they are hard to find lol!! - ccmom  187.3 #42 3:29PM
I had no idea the cups were a big deal. We bought one once, but I think we lost it before our trip was over. Great info, JessiBelle! Thanks for sharing! - BagGal  228.9 #31 2:10PM
I understand the loss of revinue because really pop or soda is 100% profit. We love the refillable mugs, we do coffee or hot cocoa in am and iced tea, power aid or soda in the pm. Disney is so into conservation I often wondered why they didn't come up with you being able to use your mugs in the parks. Not nessessarily free but for a refillable fee. Imagine all those pop and water bottles in the land fills. Our if you have a choice of bringing yours back each year buying a clip for your mug handle for this year. We are AP holders and have a cazillion mugsand in sept we are getting another 8. Just saying I think they could have looked at other options - mmddgp  470.8 #15 5:01PM
I know what you mean! We have a ton of those things too and no place to keep them! - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #18 5:05PM
I LOVE the idea of using the same mugs and buying a clip or something for it each year! Also using them in the parks is a terrific idea! - ncjal  217.9 #34 5:14PM
Great ideas!! - DizneyGirl  670.7 #7 5:47PM
I always wondered if people tried to bring mugs back, guess I now know. I have only bought the mugs once and it was a while ago. They are great for kids, but my wife and I always found that the mugs were in the room when we needed a drink. I am glad Disney is going to the system it makes sense. - toogrumpy  141.5 #54 5:41PM
oh my...when we were there in April, I saw people with old, faded mugs from probably 5 years ago....crazy!! - ncjal  217.9 #34 5:47PM
Haven't heard anything about this from Disney yet. I wouldn't trust it. - dlmickeymouseCM  2404.5 #46 5:55PM
I feel this website seems to be very upstanding, and trustworthy. Jeff, and George are very familiar with all things Disney, RFID is going to be very significant in almost every aspect in your Disney Park experience.... - DesiBelle9  25.5 #133 7:21PM
Just my two cents, lol - DesiBelle9  25.5 #133 7:22PM
It also makes sense to me. Without going into details ... I like the idea. But if you read further in the comments (two comments) say that the article is a bust. And that it's not a factual article. But Jeff (the writer) does comment back to say that tomorrow he will address these comments and questions. I'm guessing in a article? :/ - JessiBelle22  78.4 #75 6:22PM
I like the idea because if you go back and get the dinning plan you get a new mug anyways but I would like it to go one more step for the passholders and Dvc members where they could get a yearly mug available - firestorm64rt  37.5 #110 7:08PM
Hmm that would be nice! As a DVC member a yearly mug would definatly be useful if we go more then once a year - nodell111  166.4 #49 7:14PM
