I've known about this since last August and I agree & disagree with Disney. I agree that with the cost of soda it's very expensive for families to keep buying refills. The refillable mug was a blessing. I do have to say that I am guilty of bringing my mug from the year before back to use instead of buying a new mug. I am not sure how I feel about it. If the cup is for unlimited refil then it should not be regulated. If the problem is that people are returning with their old cup then change the cup every year. We pay enough money for a visit. I am not a soda drinker but my hubby and children are. I understand the loss of revinue because really pop or soda is 100% profit. We love the refillable mugs, we do coffee or hot cocoa in am and iced tea,power aid or soda in the pm. Disney is so into conservation I often wondered why they didn't come up with you being able to use your mugs in the parks. Not nessessarily free but for a refillable fee. Imagine all those pop and water bottles in the land fills. Our if you have a choice of bringing yours back each year buying a clip for your mug handle for this year. I always wondered if people tried to bring mugs back, guess I now know. I have only bought the mugs once and it was a while ago.
