Okay need some fellow mousewait help... Im always feeling rushed the second i land in florida .. I want to cram everything in so i dont miss anything! Then again, i wanna take things slow.. But i DONT WANT TO MISS ANYTHING! Lol so stressful 😞 do you think its better to plan your days out or go with the flow???

I go with the flow usually the plans we make never go the way we thought so other than dining we just do whatever we feel like at the moment and we never feel rushed or like we missed out on anything but then again I'm the same person who forgets to pack her hubby's things than has to go shopping on vacation and misses their flight home and has left souvenirs at the resort so maybe you shouldnt go by what I do lol:) - tracsant  1502.5 #2 2:32PM
I am like you...and I'm one of those nuts, ahem...planners, that Jalex mentioned. Haha, I just can't help myself. I plan and study blogs, MW, Disney sites, etc., months in advance of going. And, I have every day planned from what park to where we're eating, with all the details added in (transportation, park hours, show times, etc). I would absolutely feel as if I would miss something if I didn't, and I just can't see myself having it any other way. We are lucky to see DW once a year at best, and for the money, I want every moment to count! My feet can rest when I get back home. When we cross that gate, it's GO TIME, baby!! :) - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 3:32PM
That's awesome that you are so good at planning every intricate detail. I'm not that good. We usually wake up and look at eachother and ask what are we doing today? - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #24 3:40PM
Hahaha..go time!! You crack me up:D - mickeynme  178.1 #52 3:41PM
@Jalex - it's a sickness I can live with, lol!! The hubs and kids wake up, look at me, and say, "So, what are we doing today?" Haha, so the fact that I am SO opposite works well for us! :) - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 3:46PM
I couldn't have said it better myself!!! I'm a planner and love it that way!!!!! I too study, read, etc. anything and everything!!!! It works out for us!!! - ginastuckey  35.7 #130 3:46PM
Go time! It's like Gary Senise in Mission Space! - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #24 3:47PM
@Gina - I knew I liked you!! ;) - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 3:48PM
@MI, my wife and kids look at me and ask what we're doing and I just kinda go with the flow which I guess means I do the planning! - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #24 3:50PM
We do the same jalex :) - tracsant  1502.5 #2 4:06PM
My family has a tendency to plan around food. So wherever our meals are for the day, that more or less guides our vacation plans...haha:D - mickeynme  178.1 #52 4:31PM
Haha! I'm just like you, your right once we cross that gate... IT'S GO TIME!!! - nodell111  166.4 #54 5:02PM
I am a complete planner, my family can't stand it lol!! They prefer to go with the flow but I know if I don't plan things then we won't get anything done! - ccmom  187.5 #47 4:44PM
LOL ms.incredible you CRACK ME UP! Go time baby! Yes, we too sorta plan around reservations .. Say we have mama melrose at 7:30, we plan before and after! I always feel bad for animal kingdom LOL today my mom said "the three parks" like really!?! Animal kingdom is a park too!!! LOL and i enjoy it! - Boardwalkgirl  58.9 #98 5:23PM
There are some very careful planners here on MW and I'm not one of them. However, we vacation with my brother in law's family and they plan itineraries very well. We find planning helps you make the most of your day especially with dining. You should plan what parks you want to hit and when so you can take advantage of EMH or get to major attractions or get FP before the wait times get too high. It always helps to take a mid day break to avoid wearing yourself down. - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #24 2:34PM
We pick which day we are going to which park.  We make dining reservations for dinner for most days.  We usually make a reservations for the girls at The Pirate's League or some place like that.  On our agenda I pencil in swimming time, but we go if we want and if we are too busy at the parks, we skip it!  So, making a plan out helps, but we def don't follow it 100% - DizneyGirl  966.9 #8 2:52PM
I finally broke down and penciled in daily mid-day breaks so I don't kill the kids. It was painful, though, let me tell you!! :) - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 4:36PM
Haha! I feel the same way Mrs. I! I am taking DizneyGirl's advice and scheduling breaks because if I don't, I run my girls (and husband) so hard they fall asleep at dinner. Sigh. However, the breaks are HARD for me to schedule! I find that I often tell my family, "Hurry up! You can sleep when we get home." Still, my goal for our next trip is to be a little more relaxed, a little less crazy. ;) - BagGal  345.2 #25 4:49PM
It is so painful knowing we are laying in the resort in the middle of the day knowing I could be out there doing something else, lol! But, I know I have to be practical for everyone else's sake. My feet may bark at me going into day 3, and if it were just me on the trip, I'd bark right back and put a muzzle on those dogs!! LOL!! - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 4:57PM
Muzzle my own feet, not the hubs and kids, haha!! - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 5:00PM
Haha! Sometimes I'd like to muzzle the hubs. ;) Just kiddin'! I feel the same way... why nap or swim when I can do those things any time?!!!! I have to remind myself that I have munchkins with little legs with me. However, they do have a stroller some days. Wonder if I could get a stroller for the hubs too. Hee hee. - BagGal  345.2 #25 5:12PM
Oh, we could sell those and make some serious Disney cash!!!! :) - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 5:33PM
We can have a little stand at the MK entrance... husband strollers, 5 Hour Dole Whips, and muzzles for the complainers. Ohh yeahhh. We'll be able to stay at the Wilderness Lodge for months at a time! ;) - BagGal  345.2 #25 7:16PM
We'll make a killin'!! And, then when all the other quitters are asleep in their beds, we'll have the parks all to ourselves!!! :) - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 3:41AM
Only planning I do its dining. Everything else, "ok start here and then end there? Work for you?" - Lelundrial  710.2 #281 3:00PM
My hubby is an excellent planner. We always have our days planned out with dinner reservations. We try to get the most out of our day, but always take breaks. We usually do 2 days at parks then a day at water park to revive. Hope that helps. - goofysgirl  4.8 #20019 3:08PM
That's a great idea! - BagGal  345.2 #25 4:50PM
We do the same thing and it works out great - mmddgp  1062.9 #7 5:03PM
We plan in the AM and hit the popular attractions then we go with the flow after lunch. - uofm989898  20.3 #173 3:15PM
That's a great idea, too! - BagGal  345.2 #25 4:50PM
I go with the flow but thanks to my hubby we never miss anything we just skip the things we don't really like. He is the map reader and guides us everywhere. - yessy  233.5 #39 3:24PM
I just plan my meals and just have fun. It gets frustrating and then everything becomes an argument. So just have fun and go with the flow. - yessy  233.5 #39 3:26PM
Our first trip I planned and it was thrown out the window as soon as we got there. Now I plan our dinners and go with the flow. - purplelooney  10.7 #244 3:28PM
Plan it out,but leave urself open to go w/the flow if u have to. Plan it out then if u don't want to stick to it for any reason,u don't have to...that's what we do:-) hope that helps? Lol - mickeynme  178.1 #52 3:30PM
PLAN. I plan so I don't miss something. First schedule your parks then your dinning. I do the dinning around what park I'm in for the day so we are not wasting time traveling around to restraunt in other places. We do not do park hoppers any longer we just go to a park a day and stay there till we have done what we wanted. Decide what you want to do at each park before you go then once you have done those on that day any thing else you do is a plus or extra and that feels good. Don't forget your relax time you need it to rejuvenate but go and have a great time - mmddgp  1062.9 #7 3:45PM
Totally agree!! - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 4:24PM
We plan with flexibility. If we miss something there is always next year - 5disneylovers  1160.5 #6 4:04PM
I always feel rushed too, Boardwalkgirl!  I try not to, but I always do.  My family doesn't because I'm the one with the crazy lists and they just walking around enjoying the views.  I'm going to try not to feel rushed on our next trip.  I think I can, I think I can... - BagGal  345.2 #25 5:00PM
I'm the same way...gotta be here for that and back here for this. I really did try to be more strategic in my planning this trip, keeping everything in a day as close together as possible - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 6:08PM
I can be flexible. I can be flexible. Maybe if I say it enough times, it'll sink in by Nov 29, lol! - mrsincredible  1317.7 #4 6:15PM
I have the same problem. I'm a planner, but I always seem to feel rushed, like I need to cram it all in. I really want this trip to be different. I want to have time to just enjoy being there and not worry about what's next. So, I added two additional days (9 nts instead of 7 nts). I have also planned time for afternoon breaks at our resort. In the past, we've stayed at the parks until we we're exhausted. We never had the energy for EMH and inadvertantly ended up with even less time in the parks! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1450.4 #3 6:04PM

MouseWait COUNTDOWN for iOS is here! Countdown the days to your next Disneyland or Disney World trip with our images OR your pics! Your Countdown also displays on Apple Watch and is beautiful on iPhone 6 screens. Secure the discounted launch price for a limited time.

So from the looks of it, there is not even one app made for those of us on android. You know there are millions of people who do not own iPhones. Its kind of rediculous these days not to offer an android version of apps. Would love to help this site grow by donating, but I see no point in that when there appears to be no intrest by the app builders here to support android. I mean how about atleast a partialy functional app so we can feel that the android users are even wanted as a part of the mousewait community. I see lots of requests and sad posts about no android, but dont see any replys by the site to the fact that anyone is even working on it.I've checked back here every so offten to see if there is anything for android users, but never bothered joining until today.I just wanted to rant a little, and now I am done.Unfortunalty, at this point I think I am officaily giving up on mousewait. Thanks for reading  and understanding my frustrations ( i hope ) and please everyone........Have a Disney-tastic day!Mark - molney14u  0.1 #105816 11:05AM
I have an iPhone and an old droid. I use the old droid for wait times when my iPhone can't connect and it works fine. There's so many droid phones to have  separate apps for but I hope android makers would start using the basic same code and security but I'm probably wishing on a star for that . I miss my droid but a lot of apps don't work the same.  - secretagentangel  6426.8 #20 8:10PM
