I have never had anyone in my family have food allergies till my poor baby. I know Disney is supposed to be really good with helping people know what they can eat. Do I need to call ahead and ask for a list of what he can have or am I good just to wait till I get to the restaurant? Thank you so much and just an update from yesterday, RJ now has a baby epipen and is getting a full food allergy test.
They typically tell you to call 2 weeks ahead. They make a note in the reservation. The chef will come out to talk to you and make sure they prepare an appropriate meal. San Angel Inn was by far the best in helping me. At Boma, ask a line cook to speak to the chef and he will tell you what you can eat and that he will make something for you special if need be! I have a genetic disorder that effects my diet. I have never had an issue. Quick service can be a bit more difficult though! - mkigos  43.3 #79 11:08PM

I have several food allergies and rare ones at that. Our last trip was awesome, I have to say I feel safe eating anywhere at Disney. I make my ressies online and check the allergy option so when I get there they know. The chef will come talk to you before you order a meal, its so simple. - DizneyGirl  383.5 #10 12:06AM
I know how it feels.. My lite brother who ia now ten has grown up all his life being deathly allergic to peanuts. The chefs in disney world are always glad to cater to Him! His meals are ALWAYS extra special. He always carries his epipen around and my mom has successfully taught him the bad things peanuts can do to him and to let others be aware of his allergy. Its tough, but its possible! He is home schooled because going to school is too hard for him. The schools close to us does not allow him to carry hos epipen and the nurses have to hold them.
