So, many of you know that I cannot keep a secret, so that rules out surprising the girls with a trip to WDW. So, this year I decided to not mention which resort(s) we are staying at. My 9 year old saw my agenda and saw the days that say checking into AKL and checking into BC. As you guessed it, she has pretty much figured it out, but I won't confirm anything with her and since I book next week I still have time to change my mind, LOL!! Darn kids, can't keep a secret from them no matter how hard I try!!
I put down the deposit for our trip next year. It is for my son's tenth b-day. I was going through possible hotel choices. I just said it was for a future trip. He also doesn't know which hotel we are staying at. Art of Animation ended up being more than I planned since we don't want to be in the Little Mermaid room. So I told him it cost more then All Stars. Made the deposit while he put his laundry away for AoA, Cars suite. I am keeping it secret for as long as possible. - Lelundrial  341.0 #427 11:24PM
The best thing to do folks is lie to them. What I mean is make an dummy list of hotels that you WON'T be staying at. Leave it in their sight. But keep the real plans hidden somewhere else. - IndyandMarion  913.3 #1 8:54AM

We aren't telling our 7 year old about our upcoming trip and it's driving me crazy! I can't keep a secret either but so far so good! Also one of her friends was bragging about going August 10th.and she said to DD, maybe your parents will take you to a park and started laughing at her! I looked at her and said we sure are!
