Hello! Welcome to MW!:) well, there are alot of Resorts that are close to the parks. Like, if you want to be close to the Magic Kingdom park, there is The Contemporary Resort literally right next to it. That is a deluxe resort. Most of the Deluxe Resorts will all be in close proximity to one or more of the parks. The Grand Floridian is just a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom too. What you can do to check where all of the Resorts are on property, is just go to Walt Disney World.com, click on the resort you might be interested in, and on the sidebar to your right there should be a place where it tells you which park that specific resort is located. DesiBelle9 is correct. Any of the Deluxe resorts neat MK are worth staying at for that reason. GF and Polynesian are good choices. Contemporary is actually am older resort but it's very close to MK and the monorail gives you easy access to Epcot. Dolphin and Swan provide boat rides for easy access. Polynesian is my vote if you are looking for a great theme and easy access to MK. - Jalex239  379.8 #7 10:53AM

We prefer the Boardwalk. From there you can easily walk or boat to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. If you get a garden view room, it's quiet!! Unlike the Contemporary which gets very loud very early! For others we like Port Orleans and for value the Pop! - mkigos  42.5 #77 11:07AM

Yes it is all a matter of where you would like to stay and what you are accustomed to. We like the valu because we are never in our rooms. They are smaller in size but we only shower and sleep there. We have stayed at moderate and akl. Each stage of hotels offers something different and they are larger. They all have easy access to parks via Disney transportation. Once you are on property you never have to get in your car if you don't want to. Time to parks if you stay in valu can be any where from 10min to go to 20min if you are going to MK. Oh wow. Thanks everyone. I had no idea there was such a thing as deluxe, moderate or value hotel. When my bf and I go to DL we always stay at Hampton Inns so planning on where to stay for WDW is going to be a brand new experience for us.
