Question: We have a lot of character dining reservations this trip for our 5yo son, and 9yo niece. Which would you rather choose Hollywood & Dine or Chef Mickey's (keeping in mind we are already seeing Mickey at Tusker, possibly Garden Grill, and Ohana's)? We don't have Cape May or Chef Mickey's on the list this trip (we have done them both and enjoyed both), but feel guilty for not trying to work them in. Can you really see Mickey and Minnie too much?! What do you think???
Chef mickeys!! Never been to Hollywood and dine tho for character dining so I can't give u an unbiased answer..lol. Def try to fit one of them in tho! Y not? :D - mickeynme  102.3 #45 4:21PM
The reason I first chose H&V was only to work some different characters into the dining mix (and, see Jake, who wasn't there last Oct). But, is it worth it to go to Cape May or Chef Mickey's instead even though we'll see Mickey and Minnie (seperately) at Tusker/Ohana? - mrsincredible  403.7 #5 4:25PM
There's no such thing as seeing to much Mickey and Minnie! It depends on what kind of characters you son and niece want to see, If they want to see the Disney junior characters go to Hollywood and vine, of they love Mickey and Minnie then chef mickeys, but if they want to see princesses don't do either and go to akershus or CRT. - nodell111  153.3 #37 4:26PM
I'd pick Hollywood & Vine, just to see some different characters. Not sure you can see Jake anywhere else? - DizneyGirl  354.0 #9 4:31PM
So far, we have 1900 Park Fare (dinner), Tusker, Akershus, Garden Grill, Hollywood & Vine, CRT, Crystal Palace, and Ohana. No Chef Mickey's and no Cape May - there are ADR's still open, debating swapping out one or two to work them in. Decisions, decisions!! - mrsincredible  403.7 #5 4:31PM
Does anyone know if you see Mickey and Pluto with Chip and Dale at Garden Grill? - mrsincredible  403.7 #5 4:38PM
Is Goofy only at Chef Mickey's? - mrsincredible  403.7 #5 4:46PM
If it's for breakfast, my vote is Chef Mickeys! - JessiBelle22  77.9 #54 5:00PM
Do feel bad. How can you try new thinks if you only stick with what you know. We have a few favorites but we are exploring other dining this visit. - 5disneylovers  340.8 #11 6:14PM
In my opinion the breakfast was basically the same at Chef Mickeys as it was at H&V. I loved Chef Mickeys and thought it was a little better experience. But my kids loves H&V. They were so excited to meet Jake. And even though they are not big Handy Manny fans they got up and did a conga line with him and danced. Then they danced with June from Lil' Einsteins. Hope this helps! - BodinFabFive  26.3 #109 6:32PM
OK so I'm not aware of all the character dining restaurants. Could someone name them for me plz!!! - yessy  98.8 #48 7:10PM
I've been to crystal palace, chef Mickey's, Hollywood & Vine, akershus, Cinderellas castle and along time ago it was with Donald I think it was restaurantasaurus. - yessy  98.8 #48 7:29PM
Were is cape may, garden cove, ohana's, 1900 park fare, I've never been to none. Hoping to make some rezzis for next years trip. - yessy  98.8 #48 7:43PM
We went to Hollywood & Dine when my daughter was 5 years old & she likes Chef Mickey better. I don't think you can see Mickey to much, but it depends on which characters your kids like - perdita  63.3 #62 9:32PM
We did H&V a few times a go. It was cute and had lots of the Playhouse and Disney Jr characters. If the kids enjoy dancing and singing on the main floor with the characters, then this is for them. The characters i saw were: Little Einsteins, Oso, and Handy Many. Some different names for that old autograph book! - samndawn67  14.6 #151 11:31PM
