http://news.yahoo.com/court-tells-disneyland-study-segway-134120282--finance.html Thoughts?

I truly dislike segways. They have segway tours of downtown San Diego, and I have had plenty of close encounters with those things. It is bad enough having to try and avoid being hit by strollers and wheelchairs.(The latter happened to me twice last visit.) Now those things. - Lelundrial  656.3 #304 6:23PM
I think it's funny that a class action lawsuit (which led to this situation) will cause more lawsuits when people are injured because these things will be allowed in the park. Let's be honest, you know good and well that after Disney looks at this, they WILL allow them in the park and there WILL be accidents. The ECVs Disney provides are a hassle and dangerous to begin with (A friend had her ankle broken by one of these blasted things because the lady wasn't paying attention when my friend told her to stop in the queue line). This is just a whole new can of worms. - IndyandMarion  1278.9 #4 6:23PM
Just imagine how bad it would be. Segways are generally faster and harder to control as well and braking isn't easy unless you've been properly trained. - dlmickeymouseCM  2405.8 #62 6:49PM
I really don't like this idea, they allow segwayd but only on a special early morning tour of Epcot not any other time. The scooters that they allow right now are really annoying, they are always getting in the way and almost running over little kids, I have also seen plenty of people pick up their scooter to move it because they don't like the position, if you can do that you don't really need a scooter. - nodell111  166.4 #54 6:44PM
It does say if Disney can prove they're dangerous they can keep them out. I'm sure that will be no problem. - timonT  410.5 #20 7:52PM
Well in my opinion Disney is nice enough to rent out wheelchairs and strollers, people should be grateful for that, segwaya would be one more thing to have to watch out for running over ur feet and children. Disney might approve, more money in their pocket, but its not a huge deal I don't think - ariel116  103.5 #69 6:15PM
No, Disney would never approve. Safety is our top priority and renting out segways would be like throwing safety right out the window. - dlmickeymouseCM  2405.8 #62 6:40PM
I meant approving the Segways - ariel116  103.5 #69 7:24PM
Oh I know, I just meant that it wouldn't happen and was agreeing with you. I just got confused when reading your comment - dlmickeymouseCM  2405.8 #62 7:36PM
Ohh ok haha - ariel116  103.5 #69 7:43PM
