hey guys I have a question ..do you think it better to drive to California or fly .. were a family of 5 and my youngest never been on a plane.. were thinking of going to Disneyland next summer and seeing the other sites.. too!
Fly, it's part of the experience.
And as much as I love Disney... If you're going to California go to Legoland, so cool for kids!! I know there's a new one in FL, but go to the original with the aquarium, super fun. - margustafson

We drive most places because it's usually cheaper. We are a family of five also. The farthest we have drove is Colorado which is 24 hours for us. We always stop halfway and sleep but that takes away time from your vacation! We love to fly,it just so expensive these days. - BodinFabFive

It really depends on each family. If your kids don't ride in the car well, flying might be better. We drive so we can go to WDW more often, but it does take a while, we break it up into 2 - 1/2 days and 1 long day. We could do 2 long days, but that's tiring. - DizneyGirl

I honestly think it's better to fly since it's faster. But I think it depends on your family. It's always fun doing road trips - lakerck

Definitely fly! That's way too far to drive! I've driven (well, ridden) from Phoenix to Seattle and it was rough! I have family who take days-weeks to make that drive so they don't get too tired. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

I prefer to fly if it is cross country. I look at it as paying for more time there. My husband and I both work so we have to take time off to go anywhere. I like to maximize our time having fun not driving. - Disneyaddict
