@Indy - Did you hear the news? Read this on allears this morning: Characters in Flight Balloon Removed July 01, 2012 UPDATE#2: Here is the link to Hong Kong's The Standard on the accident in Orange Park: http://www.thestandard.com.hk/news_detail.asp? we_cat=11&art_id=123940 &sid=36878689&con_type= 3&d_str=20120629&fc=7 (Thanks to ADJohnson) UPDATE: Just spoke with Todd Jolley, General Manager, Characters in Flight Downtown Disney (WDW). When asked for a statement he replied: "After an incident at Ocean Park in Hong Kong, Aerophile decided to suspend operations of the balloons at Downtown Disney Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris, so we can conduct inspections." ORIGINAL POST: (via Jack Spence at Downtown Disney)- The Characters in Flight Balloon was removed from Downtown Disney (Orlando) 2 nights ago. Balloon employees at DD stated that there was an incident at Ocean Park in Hong Kong so all balloons are being inspected. The links we had to the Characters in Flight Balloon on the Walt Disney World website are no longer valid. More information as it becomes available. Aerophile has no information about this on their website. (Thanks to Chris White for the heads up)
