Fantasmic??? How early do we really have to go? Never seen it because my boys go to bed so early - this year it is a must! Didn't do the special dinner pack- like an hour before???? Will I get a seat or have to stand!
If you go 30-45 min early, you should be fine. That theater is so big, I have never not gotten a seat. We always get a center seat, but really, I don't think there is a bad seat anywhere...you can see the show pretty well from all the sections. Just plan to be on that side of the park about an hour before, and then you can monitor the crowds. - mrsincredible

like mrsincredible said you should get there 30-45 minutes early we normally try to get there around 45 minutes early, however if you want to get seats in the wet zone(I've never actually sat there so I'm just guessing about the time) get there maybe a hour to a hour and 15 minutes early - nodell111

1hr before if you want close seats . Even then it will be almost half full !!! The dinner & show is the best way because they have a section reserved so you don't have to be there so early . It gets packed to standing room only !!!! - skcanfield

we went on Spring Break (1st week in April) and got there 1 hour before, and it was standing room only at that point. I guess during the busy times, it is best to get there WAAY ahead of time, but during non peak times, you should be ok with 30-45 minutes. Good Luck and ENJOY! *O* - ncjal

Do the Fantasmic Dinner Package, it doesn't cost more than the food and is part of the dining plan. When we went during spring break (mid March) of 2009, we couldn't even get in the area, it was full with people standing in the 'door way'. We did the dining package in September 2010 (when crowds are low) and there was standing room only, except we got good seats because of the dining package and we showed up about 20/30 minutes before hand. I wouldn't want to show up too early if you don't like sitting in the heat and the seats are NOT comfy! - DizneyGirl

OMG...If u have a tendency to get
claustrophobic, then avoid,lol..it's a
wonderful show but def go EXTRA early..esp since now isn't an off-season..it can get VERY crowded. Also, if u have
really little ones,the part with the villains
can be frightening for some. We usually end up leaving or eating somewhere or going on some last-min rides (or just relaxing on sunset boulevard:)) while
everyone else is running there. If u do decide to go, then try to go extra early. That's the best advice I can give. Sry for the lengthy answer.lol - mickeynme

It depends on how good of a seat you want. You can get there 45 minutes early and line up, or you can be like me and get there 10 minutes early for a back row seat. - dlmickeymouseCM

This show is amazing. We got there 10 mins before and got seats on the side, but we could still see everything. I think 30-40 mins will get you good seats. - Disneyaddict

We got the seats with the dinning plan but both Kim and I don't do well in th middle of crowds they do get you to get tight as sardines in a can so we told the cast members about our dilemma and they sat it up front by the wheelchair seats so be careful with the crowds and try to get an end seat if needed - firestorm64rt

We went 45mins early back in 09 in jan. & literally got the last seats all the way to the left....wasnt the greatest seats but I
was happy to be sitting down....but the show was only playing 3 times a week when we were there becuz it was off season
