Question to all you wdw peeps...I am coming down in Aug for 4/5 days. I know it's going to be super hot and busy. I just had foot surgery and tore a tendon so I might have to rent a wheelchair. Does anyone know if the lines are longer with the wheelchair? There is a possibility my rehad will have me ready by my trip. But I'm trying to decide what's going to be the best for my foot.

What everyone failed to mention is the guest assistance card from guest relations. (which is typically how people with wheelchairs are allowed to bypass the standby and go into the fastpass line as some people have stated). Let the GR person know your situation and they will make the decision on which card to give you. Be advised, many queue lines are built to code per the Disability Act and therefore some attractions won't accept the card for that reason. - IndyandMarion  1278.9 #4 4:26AM
Any suggestions will be helpful! - dhBelle04  284.2 #1023 11:40AM

I'm going the middle of Aug. I want to be able to walk all the parks but I just don't know if i will be able to stand in long lines with my foot. - dhBelle04  284.2 #1023 11:54AM
Some lines are actually shorter if your in a wheel chair just depends on where the cut off is , my grandmother uses a scooter and it definantly has perks !! :) - kerielizibeth  10.5 #246 12:07PM
I have knee issues & use a scooter. Much easier than a manual wheelchair I think. Only thing is it can get a bit pricey. I rent a scooter from Care Medical. They deliver to your hotel & it's yours for however long you want it. They charge by the day. And you can take them on the resort buses. Or the parks have scooters too but they are for in-park use only. And sometimes the lines are shorter if CM's see that you are at a disadvantage. Not all the time though. You still have to play by the FastPass rules.😃 - Tinkerbell1265  442.0 #19 4:30PM
I will warn you some days they sell out of wheel chairs. So make sure you get there earlier. I hope your surgery goes well. - MrsaHoltgraves  35.0 #129 6:34PM
Thanks for the help! Hopefully I will be able to walk myself but its good to know my options if I can't. Thanks! Looking forward to meeting some of you in a month! - dhBelle04  284.2 #1023 7:30PM
