We are surprising our 8 year old daughter with a trip. Any suggestions on how to surprise her??
Is she a Disney freak???! Tell her on one day she can go wherever she wants to go that day.. Anywhere! Hope she says Disney! Lol. Or order a pizza and have written inside the box, WERE GOING TO DISNEY! - Boardwalkgirl

We bought our two boys birnbAums book for kids. They always see me reading the grown up one. I gave them each a highlighted and post it's with the top one saying 81 days! - timon

Just tell her you are going to visit a relative in some other state, and let her figure out where you are really going as the trip progresses. Where she figures it out at the airport or as you pass the entrance to the property. - Disneymba

Well I'm also surprising my kids my daughter for her birthday and my son for passing on to 1st grade. We are driving to WDW it is a 9 hour drive but we usually leave like at 8 pm close to the kids bed time so they will be sleeping through the drive. We barely stop only me and my hubby for a bathroom and coffee break. So about the time they wake up we just make something up that we are going to someones house or visiting grandma until we get there. - yessy

We are going to tell her that we are going to the museum to see the mummies. We went a few months ago and she hated them! The museum is in the same city as the airport so when we get close i am going to pull out these shirts that i am going to make. You use a bleach pen on a black tshirt. The front will say we are going to.......then the back will say Disney world! At least that's the plan for now. - girlonfire

We are leaving on the day before my bday so I think we are telling her that we are going to my parents to celebrate early before they go to Hawaii. Once we get to the airport say Suprise we are going to Disneyworld. She is a Disney but. She tells us she is saving tooth fairy money and sometimes she says that I look like I need a margarita. She says I hear Disneyworld has good ones. We live in Alaska. So it's a big trip :0) - AKangie

However you decide I'm sure they will love it. We surprised my oldest grand son a special nana and papa alone time trip when he was 15. We made a date for dinner (previously had bought new clothes for him an packed in trunk of car) drive to area air port when we pulled in he said what are we doing here. We said we are going to have dinner and watch the planes. We parked and popped trunk and then said then we will get on
Plane for Disney. He was over joyed. Was really a good time. I also love the idea of driving and arriving at Disney at wake up. We did this our 3 smallest grand children. At the time they were 5 5 and 3. We had drive from oh to charlote for the weekend and left charlote to head to Disney but they thought we were comming home. They slept through the night in car and we were hoping they would stay asleep past the "welcome to flordia " sign because that is always entertainment in itself. They hoot and hollar because they are there. Well they did we stopped for breakfast and back on the road and then the questions started when are we going to be home Then like magic the welcome to Disney world arch appeared and the screaming started they were so excited Needless to say we love to surprise them with something every time we go. Thank you for the question and for listening . We have such great memories - mmddgp

Okay so you buy a pin. Put it on a lanyard, put it in a box. Then get another box and put your tickets in it. (If you dont have them yet just google a picture of one and print it out) Give her the pin box first, then the tickets one. Have fun! - samndawn67

I would lie and say we are going somewhere boring, then just show up. But half way there, I would probably slip or tell them out of my own excitement! - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz

I love the idea of having them open a present and inside the present put a helium mickey balloon with and envelope attached to the end that says youre going to disney! Theyll open it up and the balloon will come flying out! - LionKingGirl
