Hubs and I were throwing around the idea tonight about going to Aulani in Oct '14 to celebrate 10 yrs of wedded bless. Just curious how many of you have experienced it and what your thoughts were. I was surprised at the bad reviews out there (high priced food, lack of restaurant options, etc).
My husband and I went in Jan and loved it! The food options were limited but we are pretty pick eaters so that is some of it. Disney did add one more quick service option a few months ago. Very beautiful there, relaxing, and many free activities, and it's Disney! I didn't care for too many other activities on the island, but loved the resort. If you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation with Disney magic, Aulani is perfect! If you have any questions, just let me know! - Andrea84  293.0 #15 12:08AM

I would say spend couple of days in aulani, and couple of days in Waikiki...more to see, and do on waikiki side of the island...dining is very limited near aulani resort...food is expensive near the resort, because it's where to big resorts are located...aulani and koolina resort... - islandgirl58  162.0 #31 2:33AM
