ok confession time, I got scared (not last yr but previous times) so here's a spoiler alert******************************************************************* things hit your back and your legs and that scared me!!! not the bugs. even tho I'm terrifed of real life bugs. That's a great question. I think as long as they know it's just pretend, it should be ok. My 5 yr old niece was a little hesitant, but I also made sure she sat on my lap so she wouldn't get freaked out at the end. :) - TangledNdisneY

Took my son at 4 and he did ok but didn't wear the 3-D classes. It really does depend on the child. I've seen alot of crying kids in this one. - disneycm

I think the scary part for some kids is when the spiders fall from above....of he's afraid of bugs, that might scare him... - islandgirl58

The show itself is really cute, with alot of funny parts (stink bug), but yes, if she is sitting back at the end, it will prob freak her out. When we went in Oct, our son was 4 1/2 and he was fine, though I made him sit on my lap. I have seen so many kids get upset during this show. It's quite dark, too...just prepare her and remind her it isn't real and she should be OK. You might try getting in an empty row, so you can move all the way down to the other end by the exits in case you need to take her out mid-show. - mrsincredible

When we took my nieces they were 3 ,let's just say it pretty much scarred them the rest of the trip,lol,everytime after that when we tried to take them to one of the 3d attractions they just kept saying we don't want to see a movie,but I guess every child is different:) - tracsant

It depends on your child. My son loves everything he tries since he was little. My daughter is more cautious and got scared the last time she watched it. She is 6. Just let her try it out n see - Disneyaddict

I think it depends on the child. My 7 year old gets a little nervous when we do shows because of things like that. My four year old LOVES tough to be a bug and all other shows! - BodinFabFive
