In preparation for our trip to WDW in October, I've been looking the MouseWait App to see what rides generally have the longer waits. One thing I noticed is that any ride that offers a fast pass pretty much always says, "Fast Pass not available". Is this a glitch or are fast passes literally gone for these rides? I want to make sure and be prepared 100% to maximize fun! Thanks in advance for the help!

The FP times on the all are manually controlled. If no one updates it inside the park, it won't update. - IndyandMarion  1278.9 #4 5:20AM
I know the Toy Story Mania FPs go quickly. When we were there in August we only FP that ride and soarin I've California. Sometimes the fast pass system isn't up for all rides. - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 8:15PM
For the most part that's not accurate - timonT  410.5 #20 8:33PM
FP Peter pan and winnie poo in fantasyland; space mountain and buzz lightyear in tomorrow land; jungle cruise in adventure land; and big thunder mountain and splash mountain and frontier land. That covers magic kingdom - crazy4mickey  9.5 #263 8:46PM
I know last time we were there we did FP for Peter Pan and that was in the evening. With Buzz and Jjngle, we just seemed to have good timing. - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 5:31AM
Epcot FP soarin, test track, mission space. Animal Kingdom Yeti, African safari, Asian water ride. Hollywood rock'n rollercoster, tower of terror, immediately upon entering the park toy story mania, and star tours could not hurt. - crazy4mickey  9.5 #263 8:53PM
I was there in 2010 October...yes for toy story goes out a lot of times by 11am...fast pass even for soaring in Epcot goes out pretty fast as well...like DL fast pass hardly runs out... - islandgirl58  452.9 #18 10:03PM
October isn't super crowded but like the others said, Toy Story and Soarin will go quickly. I'd get to the park for a FP first thing if you're interested in those attractions. Don't rely heavily on the wait times. We aren't as accurate as DL MWers! - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #21 7:23AM
Do you even need FPs for October? When we go in September we never need FPs for any rides. - DizneyGirl  936.0 #8 10:15AM
Not even for Toy Story? - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 11:44AM
Not the last two years when we went. And we don't get to the parks early by any means. - DizneyGirl  936.0 #8 2:09PM
Wow, wonder if it will be like that when we go next year for my son's b-day. - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 2:21PM
Hard to tell. I hope so!! I did notice September 2011 was busier than 2010, but still not 'busy'. - DizneyGirl  936.0 #8 2:26PM
FPs go quick . If you have a must ride and don't want to wait long , get them as quick as you can . - skcanfield  563.4 #15 2:15PM
Thanks for all the input! We chose early October because it's right after school starts. Hopefully it won't be too crowded and fast passes will be abundant....or not needed. :) - bortso  47.4 #110 7:19PM
