I went on a Disney cruise and loved it. I did get motion sickness on the boat but I took dremamean. Sorry not sure how to spell it. But after I took it I was fine an able to enjoy everything. Just something you can look into - Schramke  664.4 #12 2:23AM
I have been on 2 and they are great. For the motion sickness you can get Dramamine and there is also some type of patch. There is medical on the boat if you need something. Everyday you will get a schedule of events in the ship. Character meets, shows and classes. You can learn to make towel animals. I also suggest bringing reusable mugs and water bottles. There is a drink station and it does have water. The breakfast buffet is good, I suggest the French toast. I also like the veggie burgers at Pluto's grill. The pizza is good but the slices are small. That is all I can think of at the moment. The Wonder has been my home twice, and I love her. - Lelundrial  656.3 #304 7:42AM
Disney Cruise blows the other cruise lines out of the water. Biggest tip. Relax and enjoy and dont miss the evening shows. Also try booking the last dinner then you have a little more time on the islands. - crazy4mickey  9.5 #263 8:11AM
Booking the second dinner was always easy for us. It was getting the first dinner that was a pain. - Lelundrial  656.3 #304 8:43AM
We've been on the Disney Magic and were going on the Dream in July!!! My opinion is Disney is the best cruise ever!!! There is so much to do,the food and entertainment is great. I also get sea sick on smaller ships but didn't get sick not once. It's so huge I forget I'm on a cruise!!! Just don't stare out at the water...I know you're going to enjoy yourself!!! My kids were so entertained that I had to MAKE them have dinner with us!!!! - ginastuckey  35.7 #127 9:28AM
Oh I know what I forgot. You also get what they call wave phones on the ship. They are a way for you all to stay in contact when you go your separate ways. I don't know if you have any kids traveling with you, but sign them up for the Oceaneer's club/lab, it depends on age. The first time I had to pretty much drag my child out of there. On our second cruise, my son kept calling me telling me what they had in the lab. While I was trying to exercise, hehe. - Lelundrial  656.3 #304 10:34AM
I've never been on a cruise, but if you're worried about motion sickness, ask your doctor before you go for a prescription for a medication patch. Sometimes what they prescribe is a drug called scopolamine. The patch stays on your skin, you don't have to worry about taking pills. - brhimler  4.6 #486 2:24PM
This a good question because I haven't been in a Disney cruise but ill be going to the Disney dream cruise in October 7-10th. I could use some tips too. Specially for A birthday surprise my daughter doesn't know. - yessy  226.9 #40 2:43PM
You can request a birthday surprise decorations for your cabin. I did it for my b-day our last cruise. I got a banner, centerpiece, and a cake. If someone has dietary restrictions you can order a cake that suits him/her. Also on the day of her b-day, they will bring her a special treat at dinner. Just make sure you put it in your reservation that you are celebrating a birthday and the day. Both cruises were during my b-day. The first time I got this big slice of cake with a white chocolate DCL ship deco on top. The second time I got this rich chocolate mound thing. It was good, just can't remember what it looks like and I don't remember if I have pics. They will also sing her happy birthday. Hope that helps. - Lelundrial  656.3 #304 7:56PM
Thanks for ur help. Im going from the 4th until the 7th her actual bday is in Oct 16th but I still want to meek it all about her its a surprise present for her basically. - yessy  226.9 #40 8:00PM

I posted a photo collage of the decorations in the hub so you could see what they look like. - Lelundrial  656.3 #304 8:04PM
Thank you for the pictures. is that something that you paid for separate or if you just add it to the reservation as a birthday celebration. because that's what I did I told them i was celebrating a birthday but I didn't pay anything extra. - yessy  226.9 #40 4:54AM
The in room celebration was a separate payment. The regular reservation that you tack onto your existing reservation is not extra. - Lelundrial  656.3 #304 2:13PM
I went on a cruise many years ago (not a Disney one) and my doctor perscribed these patches that you put behind your ear for motion sickness....they were amazing! Never got sick or woozy once...I think they were called Transderm Scop? Check them out! - ncjal  288.4 #28 5:19AM
Yes. I was gonna say the same thing. I'm a nurse and we get patients requesting the patches all the time. Docs have no problem givin it. - dvcfam4  113.2 #3366 8:22AM
R the patches over the counter or do u need a prescription? - Disneyaddict  374.7 #606 8:25AM
I think they are prescription, but not sure. - ncjal  288.4 #28 2:11PM
