Dang what is going on with them? When we were there I knew our room wasn't going to be ready because we got in at 7am. Took the red eye from California so that we wouldn't lose a day. They took my cell number, and I got a text from them at around 2 that our room was ready. 2 hours before they said it would be. Your post is time stamped 8pm. There is no reason your room should not be ready. If something is wrong with the room you were going to get, then they are to offer you a new room. Update us on what happened. - Lelundrial

I spent over three hours checking in the Port Orleans riverside last year. For that reason they gave us a free dinner at any restaurant of our choosing. But it is really annoying because they lost a reservation. - ally

Ended up in standard room. Not the best, but will have to do. It just seemed like such a hassle for 30 minutes arguing with them over what we booked months before and they were continually calling someone for a room, why don't they already know which room? And Brian was really harsh with us and I had to pull out conformation of what I booked and then when I said something. About being on the first floor he gr all uppity suing they have absolutely no rooms on the first floor that it was impossible for anyone to stay on the first floor, if he would have just explained that we were already standing on the third floor, it would have been nicer and made more sense to me, it was just not a very Disney experience and now I'm just ready to go home. - margustafson

I agree, talk to mgmnt to set things straight at the resort, but then just go and enjoy yourselves!! Try not to think about it. I know it wasn't right, and it should not have happened... they upset you once, and unfortunately, you can't change what happened, so please don't let them ruin the rest of your time. Don't give them that kind of power over you. Report the jerk and allow the magic to sweep you up and consume the rest of your days! Enjoy today!! - mrsincredible

You definitely need to make a complaint to management. No one should ever feel that unhappy from a horrible experience at check-in. You're paying top dollar to get great service right? Don't they say, "welcome home" when you arrive? Then they need to make you feel at home and fix their mistake! Hope it works out for you! - Jalex239
