I'm coming to the experts... What is the secret to not feeling so rushed at the parks? We're planning to go for a week and it just doesn't seem like enough time to do our favorites and try new things too! Thank you in advance for your suggestions!
We always wake up at a decent time, at like 7 or 8. Get to the park at around 9 or 9:30, then go through the day.. but our big thing is staying after the night time show. You can go on almost every ride with really short waits. Like pirates we always go on about 4 times in a row with no more than a 5 minute wait. And all the rides that have a huge, like 75 or 90 minute wait or something, always have a wayyyy shorter wait. So after the show it feels a lot more relaxed! - batesjake  8.9 #214 6:52PM
If your staying on property take advantage of extra magic hours where you can stay late in the park and only the people staying at the hotels can go in and early where you can go into the park early if your on property. - klperry07  11.5 #177 6:57PM
I would say have a basic "plan" for each day of "must-do" and "would like to do" things. RELAX, and try not to stress out....there is simply NOT enough time in the day to get every ride and show done and seen. Take advantage of Fast passes when you can, and depending on the ages of the people you are going with, take breaks, even if its to sit down and eat an ice cream bar, watch a parade, or just shop in a gift shop. HAVE A BALL!! - ncjal  116.5 #43 8:21PM
Just realize you cannot do it all. You have to pick and choose the best experiences and build in some extra time for things you might unexpectedly want to stop and do. It's a lot of pressure if you think you have to do it all to get your money's worth. You'll just have to come back some day.😃 - ally  440.3 #4 8:29PM
I'd say, don't rush it if you have little ones. Take your time because even a week isn't enough to experience everything! If you're early risers, do EMH and try to plan your meals if you don't have reservations. Kids and you will benefit from mid day break at the hotel for either a nap or a dip in the pool or both! Bringing your own water bottles is a good way to stay hydrated & save $! If you do late EMH, sleep in the next day and grab a late breakfast and ease back into it. And enjoy every moment! - Jalex239  379.8 #7 6:58PM
It is so tough to do... If you're like me, you schedule something for every second of everyday we're there trying to make the most of our time. It is crazy fun, but oh my word, SO exhausting. Our feet always ache by day 3, lol!! I lovingly tell my hubs to suck it up and push thru the pain cuz we have this, and this and this still yet to do!! Haha - mrsincredible  402.5 #5 7:50PM
First off, know ahead of time you cannot do it all!  Our last two trips were the best and most relaxed and we spent less time at the parks.  We didn't get up early or stay at the parks real late and we took a pool break every day.  The visits we stayed at the parks all day long we were worn out and didn't get as much enjoyment out of it.  We've also had so many dining reservations in the past that, yes are neat, but I'd rather be at the parks than eating a real nice meal, can do that anywhere.  One visit every day we did a character meal, no need really, wich we had spent that time in the parks. - DizneyGirl  353.5 #9 7:54PM
One of the best techniques to prevent rushing is to plan ahead. Know where you are going on what day (plan around EMH and average daily attendance). Have a game plan for how you want to tackle the park. Avoid unnecessarily walking from one end to another. Prioritize your list of must see's/must do's. Plan your outfits when you pack, adding just an extra couple of items just in case. Don't forget to plan some free time so you can be flexible when necessary. When you start to feel rushed, stop. Take a deep breath & remember you're at WDW! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  392.1 #6 8:02PM
Last time we were there it was for four days and I didn't feel rushed at all. Breakfast usually at around 8:30am. We would leave our hotel just after 9, hit HS for Toy Story mania FPs. Then off for some rides, switch to a park. Then come back to HS for our return time. We mainly eat breakfast and dinner, 1 snack in the middle if the day. We would plan on visiting 2 parks per day. Still managed to get on all the rides we wanted to. - Lelundrial  339.6 #430 8:14PM
