So we just got permission to take my baby sister (she'll be 13) to WDW in September. It's our second trip (my husband and me) but our son (he'll be 18 months) and my sisters first trip. We want to surprise her and make it special, we can't decide how we want to tell her. Obviously we have quite some time but any suggestions would be appreciated. Also I should mention we're experts of Disneyland. We've had passes for the last 7 years and my sister has had a pass for the last 5. We were thinking of either giving her a box on hints on her birthday or telling her once we got to the airport. Any Suggestions of how to surprise her as well as must do's at WDW are welcome! TIA!
I'm a big fan of having her bags packed and telling her at the airport! I would cry! As for a must do at WDW, you have to have dinner at Narcoose's or the California Grill around 8 to be there for the Wishes fireworks display at the MK. Since you are directly across the seven seas lagoon you have an ideal, less populated view of the MK and they pipe in the music and commentary from jiminey cricket. We just surprised our two kids age 5 and 1 back in September. They were clueless. We told them right before we arrived at the hotel. I like your idea of clues on her birthday. Send her on a scavenger hunt leading up to the big reveal - Ariel42  198.1 #25 1:34PM
If you can get a flight around 11, 12 or 1 and then an hour or two before you leave for the airport hand her a suitcase(a Disney one if you can) with some things from Disney like a lanyard with some pins for trading on it if she doesn't have a pin collection if she does see If you can order some wdw pins or trading pins, and maybe some other wdw related stuff. Then tell her to pack her bags because we are going to disney world. - nodell111  153.3 #38 4:15PM

She's very lucky! I'd like the box of clues if it was me. You could also have like a scrap book of your Disneyland pics ands have the last page be wdw stuff like cut out the castle and paste a pic of your fam and her there lol except the surprise is best at the last possible minute! - Polynesiangirl  82.5 #52 2:03PM

My parents and hubby did that for my bday. Best gift ever. They had my bags packed and in the car. When they told me they handed me a plane ticket holder and said to make sure I wore my sunscreen. Your sister is so lucky to have a sister like you - MrsaHoltgraves  35.0 #90 6:40PM
