Ok mousewaiters its question time about the dinning plan. If my family buy's a 10 day pass to wdw with a dinning plan what is it and where do you eat. Eg if you stay at carribeen beach resort where do you eat and how often and is it worth the money please help me understand this question?
I think it really depends on how you want to eat while you are at WDW. The food is way too much for our family. The dining plan is a savings if you'd normally eat like that, we wouldn't. I figured it for our normal stay and we'd pay $450 out of pocket, but the dining plan is $800. Explain: we would never have dessert at every meal (too full). My kids take two bites of their meals and then the rest goes in the trash, so if we pay ourselves we just share our meals with them. I know we don't eat like most, and are in the minority. My recommendation is go to allears.net and there are all the menus and prices, just see how much you'd spend on what you'd eat during your visit and compare it to the dining plan. Again, it is savings if you'd normally eat that much. - DizneyGirl  354.6 #10 9:26AM
.It is worth it. The dinning plan is good for all restaurants in the Parks and hotels. I would recommend the regular dining plan. You get one snack a day per person one quick service and one sit down. We usually do the quick service for lunch and have a nice sit down for diner. You can make reservations for all sit Downs 180 days in advance. Hope this makes sense. - Ariel42  198.1 #25 12:14AM
Ariel is right. Totally worth it. Make sure you have alternate restaurant choices for sit-down meals as some of the more popular restaurants (Cinderella's Royal Table for example) are booked a long time in advance. You can still try go a booked up restaurant because there are cancellations all the time. And the regular plan, believe it or not, is a lot of food. - Tinkerbell1265  372.1 #8 12:20AM
Depends on the plan but usually its 1 snack 1 quick serve 1 table service pp per day , so many great options I couldn't go without getting it def worth it u can use most places , some like shows or signature take 2 tble services pp, but you still have quick service , u can always go to the ever helpful cm and ask as the 1st time is a little confusing - tracsant  572.6 #3 12:21AM
At Caribbean Beach you eat at Old Port Royale...you can't go wrong there for breakfast, lunch or dinner quick service...the portions are huge and so good!!! I would recommended the Deli (Turkey BLT) so stinking good!!!!*+.*+.*+. - CinderellaPrincess85  168.8 #31 12:24AM
I know I'm in the minority but we like quick service plan. 2snacks,2 quick service meals, and resort mug. We still will do one or two character meals and use tables in wonderland card. But we just don't like the wait and time it takes for a table service. You would be surprised the type of food u can get for counter service not just burgers and fries. - Bakerjars  220.1 #22 12:55AM
Thank you but what happens you take your ticket or room pass into a restraunt or snack place and its free or you have to pay. How much can you eat? - puddy77  84.2 #3225 1:36AM
Thank you uppity you are a champion - puddy77  84.2 #3225 3:00AM
There is so much food you will eat on the dining plan it is crazy! You will not believe how much food you will consume. Be prepared to gain weight, I know I did! Lol! - majickingdom79  77.3 #56 3:09AM
Thank you for all your info as it is very hard to find info about this and i can always count on you guys - puddy77  84.2 #3225 11:45PM
We got our dining plan free with our vacation. I upgraded to the reg DDP because we wanted to do character meals once or twice. We have reservations for Crystal Palace and the restaurant in AK for character lunches. I figure we'll use our qs for dinner on those days. =) - eeyorefan107l  274.9 #17 1:31AM
