Welcome! I would first decide what your budget for a room is then start researching the Disney website. The Value resorts (where I usually stay) are really nice but on the smaller side. That's ok for me because I'm only in the room to shower & sleep. The moderate resorts have bigger rooms and more amenities. The deluxe resorts are full-throttle. Lol! Check Disney.com & order the planning DVD. That's a huge help in planning. I also check out Allears.net and laughing place.com. Also, you can call the Disney reservation line & talk to a planner to help you out. Hope this helps! - Tinkerbell1265

Another great website I love is wdwinfo.com. Or if you have an iPhone they have a free app wdwmagic. - Schramke

When are you going? We go during a value time and stay in a moderate. Value resorts don't heat the pools and that's a huge part of our visit so if you go when it's cool out the pool won't be much fun. Also, how many meals will you eat at your resort? Values, Moderates and Deluxe all offer different types of dining. - DizneyGirl

This first timer (back in 09) stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and loved it and stayed again a few weeks ago. Here is a good site about the place http://www.portorleans.org/ - veronica619

I usually stay at Port Orleans Riverside and it's very relaxing and quiet. I've stayed at the All Stars and it's much more noisy and kid friendly, I think. But the rooms are smaller. Really, you can't go wrong at any of the Disney Hotels. You might look at the new Animation Resort that should be open then. - ally

Thanks everybody for your input. It's just the hubby and I going in either March or April. I've already looked into several resorts I just wanted input from MWers, especially ones who've been to WDW multiple times. 😊😘 - Candace

Animal kingdom lodge or beach club if u are a DVC member or the price doesn't matter to you. If you have a tight budget stay at a value resort I've never stayed at one but they look ok. The animal kingdom lodge has animals outside you balcony if u get a savannah view. The beach club is really close to epcot and has a nice pool. I also like the boardwalk and the bay lake tower or contemporary look cool - nodell111

The free DDP deal runs thru march, with blackouts. Check disneyworld.disney.go.com for availability. We usually stay in values, an Pop Century is my fav of those. But you have to pay to upgrade to regular DDP. For just a little more, we like to splurge on a moderate with regular DDP included. I've stayed at Coronado Springs, which has a very fun pool. I'm staying at Caribbean beach on Thursday.
For deluxes, I would love to stay at animal kingdom lodge, which has a free night vision thing at night, watching the savanna with nightvision goggles.
I love Polynesian, with its fun decor, and it's right on the monorail.
~my two cents :) - C-Ticket

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Disney resorts. When I hear people complain about a particular resort, it's usually for very superficial stuff. My all time favorite is the Polynesian and the Wilderness Lodge runs a close second. If either of those are in the running, I'd be happy to expand upon why I like them so much! - bellatoris
