D23 members, I am considering joining but I would like to know what you think about D23. How long have you been a member? What is your favorite part about it? Any good things you can share with me would be appreciated. I did read the D23 website but I would like to get some guidance from my MW family.
Hi everyone! I know it has been a while since I have been on here but I thought I would say hi. My Minnie and I will be at the parks on Easter Sunday. This year my 30th birthday lands on Easter so I figured what better way to celebrate. Hope to finally meet some of you!
Not Disney related but I could use some pixie dust and prayers. I have to go to The VA in Palo Alto today (3 hours from home) and I am having surgery there tomorrow. Not looking forward to this as I will not be able to do much for a week after the surgery. Guess I will be spending lots of time lurking on MW.
Just got home from my one day marathon to the parks. Thank you to Admin for creating this wonderful app and thank you to everyone who has shared tips, suggestions, and kindness through this community. On this trip we had a great time and thanks to MW we enjoyed Chicken dinner at the Plaza Inn; So yummy and a great value. We also got to meet some great MWers!
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
