Looks like both parks have the same guidelines. Wings and a tutu sounds like a costume to me but it does seem like they're encouraging adults to choose themed shirts instead. - Witchie77  389.4 #603 10:49PM

Hi UpLaters!!!✨ In honor of the Mickey's Halloween Party tickets going on sale to everyone today, what are your feelings about thinking about Halloween and the MHP's! Are you attending this year? Thinking about your costume yet? Have a favorite experience from past years? Or, does it feel TOO SOON to think about Halloween??? Come on in, say hi, and enjoy some virtual milk and cookies!   More...

Bought tickets for Oct 7th party (somewhat reluctantly).  Wont be planning on a costume since rules prohibit anyone over 14 years old.  Going with a "themed shirt" skeleton Mickey with skeleton tights and black lace top hat.  That's the best I can do 😬. - DisneyPrincessT  239.8 #1543 10:05PM
Oh! Wait!!! Did that change this year? No adults in costumes??? - TinkerSchelle  2071.8 #84 10:08PM
According to the website it says anyone over 14 is only allowed to wear themed shirts, capes & accessories.  Total bummer...plus the price increased. - DisneyPrincessT  239.8 #1543 10:11PM
That's a HUGE bummer!😩 - TinkerSchelle  2071.8 #84 10:13PM
From Disneyland website:For Guests Ages 14 and OlderCapes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords and tutus. Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face. Masks of any kind may not be worn.Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards. - DisneyPrincessT  239.8 #1543 10:33PM
I'm trying to find out if I can go on Oct. 5th, it all depends on my work schedule or if they're sold out already. - SorcererD91  4107.8 #40 10:10PM
I'm hoping to go October 21 but will have to check my work schedule so I know how that feels - disneychu  309.8 #912 10:13PM

Morning. We attended 3 times and will not be attending again. Unless we go to WDW and attend their Halloween party. The first time we went was the best. Did a Tuesday and it wasn't crowded, it also didn't rain that time. - Lelundrial  765.6 #267 7:46AM
G'morning! πŸ‘‹πŸΌ Just got back from a jog with the pooch.  More of a walk today with lots of stops to let him have water since its soooo hot.  I love Halloween!  βœ¨πŸŽƒβœ¨ Summer used to be my favorite time of year, growing up, but now I just adore fall. πŸ‚πŸŒΎ  I don't really want to see decorations or merchandise out in stores yet but I like thinking about it.  Costco will have stuff out in the next week or so πŸ˜‚  I've never been to a Halloween party at DL, but would love to go someday.  I would probably do something Merida-inspired, but I'm not really into full costumes on adults and kinda appreciate the new guidelines--safety issues for sure, but it also keeps the dressing up special for the little ones, which I think is a fun and positive thing ✨ looking forward to fall!  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  642.3 #335 9:37AM

Super sweet of you!

A CM experience that I observed aboard the Disneyland Railroad. A teenage girl and her parents boarded and something caught my eye. It was her white cane. She was visually impaired. She sat in the row closest to the entrance. It was the train car with only two long rows. A conductor called, "All aboard!" And we were off! This conductor stayed on the running boards and made small talk with the family. Being observant, he started verbally describing the scenery in detail and mentioning unique things. You could see her visualizing his words in her mind. As soon as I reached Main Street station, I hopped off and went straight to City Hall. I noted the CM's name and reported his exemplary behavior to a supervisor. I just thought he'd get a "gold star" in his file. No. She informed me he would be presented with a certificate in front of his coworkers in a ceremony. Wow! I had no idea.  He so deserved it!  - Saldogmom  0.9 #71151 7:18PM
Btw, pls do not enter me in the RAK. I just love to read the stories!  - Saldogmom  0.9 #71151 10:11PM
Back in the original DCA, my son and I were eating faces into our tortillas and then went to the bread factory. My son was a very young autistic boy and he was trying real hard to tell the employees it was his birthday. One of the CMs came out and gave him a mini Mickey sourdough bread. No one could touch nor eat of this special loaf. He ate it all at home and I don't think he was hungry the rest of the day. It was just really nice and special.  - Plumiegirl  10358.3 #9 5:55PM

Hi Melody. My favorite memory made by a castmember was when a friend and I went to Star Wars and we were just being polite guests per usual, and this cast member was so happy with us, because we were the first people on her shift that were being polite. We were happy to be because it's the right thing to do. But she insisted that she give us a special fast pass to Big Thunder Mountain to use that night. It made all of us so happy, and we went to city hall and thanked her. She was amazing that night, and it felt really great to have that experience. Please Add Me to this RAK and thank you for doing this! It's highly appreciated!!!  - Disneypirategirl  294.5 #1001 12:50AM
When my mini was 3, of course she wore either a princess or Minnie dress to visit the park. This one day she had on her Minnie dress and when we first walked through the tunnel, we saw Minnie. She wanted to take a picture with her, so we waited in line for maybe 10 mins. It was finally our turn , we walked up to Minnie and she took my mini by the hand and walked to another location. We all followed to the new location. I was the most wonderful sight to see Minnie Mouse holding my mini's had and walking together both in Minnie dresses. Once in the new location Minnie kneeled down and was telling my mini she loved her dress , lol it was  Thank you for this  RAK - itsmyglassslipper  423.8 #549 7:56AM

Hi UpLaters!!! So tonight we started my husband's side of the family family reunion!!!! Like about 50 of us in town this week! So fun! I'm stealing away from the festivities to say hi to all of you. Feel free to share some info with us all!😜 And enjoy the virtual milk and cookies!  More...

Good morning:-). Just woken up and we are all packed and ready to drive to airport to start our journey to Shanghai.  Very anxious about flight.I don't think I could manage a large group at the park.  We are a family of 6 and it's bad enough trying to manage that. What happens when everyone wants to go on different rides.  I think it would be better to break into smaller groups but meet up for food and parades. - beentoall  1224.4 #0 10:11PM

I just saw this, and honestly, you have to let groups do their own thing. Maybe have a set time and place where you meet and do a thing or two together. If you have people of all ages, there are so many different interests!  (For us, going with Little Skipper, we have to go at her pace. Some people in our group may not understand that and may be frustrated or upset, but it's different having a baby or a toddler than it is having grown kids!) - IDVandalSkipperCM  2596.9 #59 7:27PM

The 4h animals become tasty meals, and the students that raised them continute to learn about having a good work ethic, financial management, overall develop a better sense of responsibilty.  At the same time having fun  and earning money that can be used on Disney souvenirs. - Bibba  516.9 #435 11:38PM
I have eaten horse. Camel is hard to come by. If one is up for auction let me know. Bibba I know it sucks walking through there before auction though. I grew up around it. - RobnHood  184.5 #2261 11:49PM
That's just what they want you think Bibba  πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ - Linzee  1397.3 #136 11:52PM

I'm glad they have something they can do now. We waited one night hearing the "In just 15 minutes" thing for probably over an hour just to have them cancelled.  - MellieKay  315.9 #871 10:39AM

How do they pick and choose who gets one?

Mine is on my fridge! πŸ˜€ - sheridanrabbit  261.0 #1313 9:32PM
Our's is on the fridge too - makeitbluesaysmerriwether  228.5 #1689 9:34PM
Haven't gotten one yet, really want one.. Considered paying a pretty little penny for one on eBay, but still holding out with hope - therealJackandSally  320.8 #0 4:48PM
Just got mine! Same thing as mentioned above. We let our AP expire about 3 months ago and just "renewed" it 2 weeks ago. The mailer that comes with it explains the benefits of an AP, so it seems like it would go to those that Disney thinks are new AP holders. Β  - NotReallyGrumpyBill  506.8 #446 6:57PM
