I've been hearing about the annual passholder movie nights at Dland... Is it true that this takes place every Thursday? Also how do annual passholders get wristbands to see a movie? How does this work? (Where do we go to see if we can get in?) Would love to do this sometime!
I just got here so will check if they are doing it. It's only on thurs and its sporadic. Go to the opera house where they show Mr. Lincoln and check in. Wristbands are 1st come, 1st serve as space is limited. Come back at 630-645 w/ AP and wristband and they announce which movie at 7 - figzchic  651.2 #248 12:36PM
Oh thanks for the info! That's awesome that they are doing this! Just found out today's movie choices are between "Up" and "Wall-e"! :) - imadisneymommy  26.6 #5428 12:42PM
Oh wow I love both of them!! Wish I still had an AP! - SarahJoshDisney  77.8 #3669 1:06PM
They're doing it today. Choices are UP or WallE - Pats_Fan  117.2 #3070 12:56PM
I don't care for either one. Bummer everytime my best friend tries to go they show movies we don't really like. - NotNKansasAnymor  204.9 #1791 1:24PM

What are the pros and cons of having a Disney Rewards Visa card? Is it really worth getting one?
We have it. We use it for everything possible. We earn 1% on everything we buy in "Disney Reward Dollars." If we use it for Disney vacation, no interest. Those are the pros. As soon as I charge on it, I go online and pay that amt off. Cons- if you apply but don't get approved, can bring your credit score down. If you keep a debt on it, never pay it off, always in the red. Interest rate is high if not paid off each month. There is another chase visa, that pays 2% charges $49 annual fee, but get $100 gift card. Could be worth it, if you can earn more than $49 year in Disney Reward dollars. If it were me, I would go to credit karma (I use this site without any problems), and check my credit score. Use the tool to see if opening a credit account would hurt or help your credit first. Biggest thing is to not get in debt more than you can handle. I am sure you already know this, but worth writing just in case somebody else reads this. - Sugarbuzz  133.5 #2796 2:31PM
I have the free once without the annual fee. Pros - free money to spend at the parks. Cons - same cons as any other credit card. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #173 2:39PM
Ok Now I remember why I was hesitating to get one. The annual fee! Where do they offer no annual fee? Thanks for all the info! - imadisneymommy  26.6 #5428 2:49PM
There are two Disney Rewards Visas. One is the Premier (the one with the fee) and there's a regular one. Just google Disney Rewards Visa and check out their website. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #173 2:54PM
The card with 2% back has an annual fee but not the 1% one. I pay mine each month so it's worth it for me. - adventurerEnDisneylandia {AED}  662.2 #241 2:56PM

Does Disneyland still sell discounted tickets after 4 pm? I believe they were called twilight tickets. If not, can they be purchased somewhere else?
The only twilight tickets now will get you into a movie where two people gush over each and make me feel nauseous, although it's cool that one of them sparkles. I havent heard about any other deals. - madsdad  1800.8 #66 1:01PM
You forgot where one looks like she is in constant pain. - Lelundrial  457.4 #401 1:13PM
When you have to try that hard to act, I'm sure it hurts lol. - madsdad  1800.8 #66 1:14PM
No they don't sorry - Villescas8  600.8 #280 1:02PM
in aug of 2011, we stayed at the Hilton in Anaheim and they offered the twilight tickets for $50 after 4. weather they were legit or not, idk. you could call and ask. - mochamistie  272.8 #997 9:31PM
They are for special events or group things only. I know they are selling them through the dapper day website for sept 7. - ImAlwaysCrazy  671.7 #238 1:46AM

Have any of you eaten at Storyteller's cafe or restaurant? Do various characters go around to the tables like they do at goofy's kitchen? I've been to goofy's kitchen, breakfast with Minnie at plaza inn, and Ariel's grotto, but never been to Storyteller's. Also, how is the food there?
The food is good. You can do buffet or order off the menu. - LoveLove  346.0 #593 1:46AM

Is there a height requirement for RSR ride? My daughter is 2, so wondering if she can get on with us. Also, does the ride go very fast?
40 inch requirement - RickChavez  3238.0 #28 1:41PM
It doesn't. Tops 35 mph. If she's tall enough I say go for it. It's really just like the movie - TikiJOSEsWingman  332.4 #634 1:47PM

Someone recently told me that there are some videos on YouTube showing Dumbo flying through the sky (like tinkerbell) during a Disney magical firework show. Do any of you know if that is only in Florida or if also at Dland in Anaheim? I haven't seen the flying Dumbo in Anaheim so was just wondering if that's ever done there. My daughter loves Dumbo :)
I saw it at Disneyland about a month ago. - sallyg  233.9 #1401 6:23PM
It's at Disneyland as well. Watch Magical - MayBie  1885.6 #65 6:30PM
Just saw it 2 weekends ago during Magical fireworks. He flew over during the Baby Mine song. - NikkiMickey  1682.7 #72 7:14PM
Yeah Dumbo flies during the fireworks. I didn't know until a few weeks ago when a CM working at Casey Jr. told everyone to look up and there he was. Haha. Now it's my favorite part. - Amy23  274.2 #978 9:22PM

I was at Disneyland yesterday (6/4) and overheard these 2 women telling a CM that they had just met Johnny Depp. They said that he was in full jack sparrow costume with wig and all. One of the women said that the man told her, "you know who I am, right?" and that he showed his ID or driver's license which had John W Depp on it so they believed it was him and took pictures with him. Well I saw the   More...
Johnny Depps look alike from the movies lives in the town near me. I have ran into him in the bank and almost passed out. He looks a lot like him even in regular clothes. And I stalked Johnny Depp to his suite at The Grand once. Caughts a quick glimpse he gave me a half smile as he entered his room and then DK security and the plaids had me turned around going the other way down the hall as fast as they could. - Mrsblue  692.9 #223 6:39AM
Johnny Depp's middle name doesn't start with a W anyway. - SoloSiyoNqoba  598.4 #281 4:07AM
Right. I was going to say, that's not even his name. :) ๐Ÿ˜Š - DisneyFanZoe  1106.9 #124 10:32AM
How awkward is that lol - LoveDisneyDucklings  28.8 #5275 10:45AM
I saw this so called "Johnny depp" last night too, and let me tell you he looked nothing like him. It was this random guy who bought one of the jack sparrow hats and was wearing eye liner! As to the ID, I know a guy who can get me one that says am the queen of England! ๐Ÿ˜ - Miss-E-Mouse  1310.0 #93 11:37AM

Does anyone remember a store in ca adventure that sold plastic mr potato heads with accessories? There was a whole mr potatoe head area with several pieces to choose from. (as many as you can fit in a box for about $10) I believe the store used to be near the entrance of ca adventure. Now with all the walls up, I think that store might be closed? If it is, do you know if there's another store ther  More...
Yep. This was one of my questions recently also. The store is gone for now. I was not able to find anywhere else on property that did the same thing. It was $20 for a box to fill and many of the pieces are park exclusive. Fingers crossed we see it return somewhere soon. - cynDOLEwhip  1175.5 #110 4:16PM
They should do something like that at World of Disney. They totally have the space for it! - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #173 4:17PM
It would be great in WOD! - cynDOLEwhip  1175.5 #110 4:22PM
Engine ears was the name..I remember someone else asking this question to a cm and the answer was no. so if that's true, its a bummer. - Mikiestown  23.1 #5827 4:21PM
I liked the Disney park exclusive pieces, which I'm sure are hard to find now. - imadisneymommy  26.6 #5428 4:45PM
They were in the toy store in DCA and one of the stores in Toon Town. I haven't seen them in Toon Town for ages now either. They are my kids' favorite! You could stuff so much in those boxes. You didn't have to get the potato. We would just regular ones from the store. Best was clearance Easter ones and stuff and then they could stick the parts on them. There were only a few pieces we hadn't gotten yet. I do hope they are brought back! My kids still ask for them. - Autoalice  157.3 #2438 6:03PM
