#ThrowbackThursday Storybook Land Canal Boats 1972. Pic taken by my Dad, I'm in the bottom left corner. I'm sure glad Walt kept trying over and over until he got it right when things didn't work out the first time like this ride. What an inspiration!
This is a video of our family trip to DL in 1967. Notice the great attraction posters upon entry, the band and The Mark Twain. We take a ride in the Skyway for a great aerial view of the park, we travel through the Matterhorn, briefly see the monorail and People Mover cars and don't miss the live mermaids sunbathing on the rocks in the submarine lagoon. We end with the castle a More...
#ThrowbackThursday Main Street USA, and the Carnation truck 1972. Knee high socks and ponchos! I love the idea that is was cool enough to wear a poncho and the parks were not crowded. This picture was taken by my Dad, 💖I am in the red poncho.
I just found this wonderful surprise!! A gift from @Duchess_SMK!! Oh my goodness, I am so overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity towards me, I don't even know what to say! Thank-you thank-you thank-you! 💖💖💖
This was the one that I wanted but couldn't get!! You are the epitome of the very best that MW has to offer and you add so much positivity and QC to the lounge.
#ThrowbackThursday. It's a Small World, May 29th 1967, and always one of our favorite attractions! When this pic was taken by my Dad, IASW had been at DL for exactly one year and one day, opening on May 28th 1966. It had first been to the New York's World's Fair in 1964, they were given 11 months to create and build it! It was one of four attractions that were used to test concepts and ride system More...

One of our favorite pictures from our trip in May. The Photopass photographers really go out of their way to take some great shots! Also because of MW we know to buy our Photopass online before we go and we get added benefits such as adding some attraction photos to the Photopass in the park so we don't have to buy them or lose them. And we love making calendars through the web site, they really a More...

A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
