Remember that day at Disneyland when it was too hot, too rainy, too crowded, to noisy to have fun and find the magic? Me neither. Pass through the tunnels today, then slow down just a bit as you enter town square. Take a deep breath. Hear the train whistle. Shrug off the outside world for awhile. Adventure is here. Welcome.
Good morning MW! This day in Disney history, Aug 8th, 1952. "The Little House", narrated by Sterling Holloway & directed by Wilfred Jackson, is released. A small house has to compete w/ the big city that is growing all around it. To watch: 🎬 http://is.gd/kabHQ5 🎥
What kind of a day did I have? Spent some time at the parks with my family, got both MW virtual pins, rode RSR & TOT, bought tickets for Social D at DTD, hit 600, and it's my birthday in less than an hour. See you all at the parks tomorrow
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
