We saw saw them a few months ago at DCA. I had no idea who they were but loved that they were dressed the same and seemed very happy, both with huge smiles. I remember thinking how fun that would be when I'm their age to have someone special dress up with me and go to DL. I'm very sad that they're gone. My heart goes out their family.
When we did the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour the CM told us the spike was the center of DL. I thought it was odd a CM would say that. And it is pretty close to the center if the castle. I agree with secretangentangel...I'd love to see someone measure it out and find out the actual truth!
This is soooo cute! Please add me! I definitely do not shop on Black Friday! I used to work in retail and worked that day several years. It's nuts! There's a lot of people who are not very nice that day. We're going to DL instead!
When our daughter asked if Santa, Easter Bunny, Mickey, etc were real, we asked her what she felt in her heart. She always said she believed they are real. She never asked again, even though she knew the "truth". She'll be 19 next month and is telling her 5 & 7 year old cousins the same thing.
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
