I'm getting ready to take my 5 year old grandson to DL since his recent type 1 diabetic diagnosis. I've been searching for carb counts on Disney food to make a quick reference guide. If anyone has a carb count on food I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

That's a hard one, I'm a great advocate to allergy foods since I have a little one with allergies, and been pushing for more info since only recently great info for vegetarian, kosher and allergy information has improved but I yet to see a carb count in the resort info so I would suggest calling the Disney dine number and talk with them and see what info they can provide - pikaplaid  8342.8 #16 12:07PM
I agree with pikarich.  Call Disney Dining.  You can also pack your own food and eat it in the  Picnic Area, located to the left of security/bag check. - DisneyHeidi09  474.2 #536 12:15PM
I plan on bringing food for him, but since he's been to Disney so many times he knows the food and treats in the park. I'm just trying to make it like it was before the diagnosis. I will call Disney dining to see if they have info. Thanks. - RhondaR  231.8 #1746 12:33PM
My son is a Type 1 diabetic and we have been to Disneyland a couple of times since his diagnosis. I have never been able to find carb counts from Disneyland unfortunately.  What I do is generalize, if he's eating a corn dog it's usually about 23 carbs, or an ice cream bar, or whatever, I can usually get pretty close. Keep in mind all the walking, my son went low from all of the activity a few times. Hope that helps, and have a magical time!  Feel free to message me if you have any questions, I'd love to help! - DisneyDodgerMom  6.3 #17284 7:48PM
Thanks for the info. When I planned this trip we were not going to bring his stroller. Unfortunately when he does a lot of walking his glucose drops. So we will still be lugging the stroller again.  - RhondaR  231.8 #1746 2:07PM
Good luck!  I don't have experience with diabetes, but I have found that it's very difficult to find any specific nutrition facts on park food, for some reason.  I agree that a call to DL Dining is probably the first step.  Hope you have lots of fun and that he's able to enjoy some of his favorite treats safely!   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  720.1 #334 2:50PM

Does anyone know if I can buy a new premium annual pass since I currently have a premiere pass for DL & WDW? I'm online and I entered my info, I'm at the payment point. I can't find an expiration date to activate the pass by. My premiere doesn't expire until November.

I just bough a premium online and it says must be activated by 12/31/15.  - BRabbit  1035.1 #227 10:14PM
Where did it say that? I tried to look at terms & conditions, but a picture of Stitch shows up saying someone ate the page! I just want to make sure since non refundable. - RhondaR  231.8 #1746 10:17PM
I didn't find it on the website, but it's on the eticket they emailed me.  - BRabbit  1035.1 #227 10:20PM
So do you just hold onto the E ticket until you use it? Just as long as it is activated by 12/31/15. I've never purchased an annual pass online.  - RhondaR  231.8 #1746 10:30PM
Yup. I bought my pass early when this price increased two years ago. Just saved the eticket (I printed it and kept a digital copy to be on the safe side). It worked fine. Just bought one tonight to replace my pass that expires in September.  - BRabbit  1035.1 #227 10:36PM

Just got the mail today and this was in my box. I'm so ready for WDW in May!

That's so exciting. I'll have to pick mine up from the hotel because they won't post them to us :(. It would be so fun to get this as a package in the mail.  - TrueFromOzLovesDisney  602.5 #401 7:33PM

Going the weekend before Star Wars. We were there last year during Star Wars & Hollywood Studios was a little crazy! By the way, I know nothing about Star Wars.  - RhondaR  231.8 #1746 4:16PM

Does anyone know if DL still has the Pirate League (not sure if that's what it's called)? The place where children can get made up like a pirate. We are taking our grandson in March for his 4th birthday, and he loves everything pirates.

It's only offered during Halloween time as of now - pikaplaid  8342.8 #16 11:25AM

I had knee surgery on Friday. Hopefully I will be totally recovered to take my grandson to Disneyland for his 4th BDay in March. You know your a total disney addict when you postpone your surgery for one last trip! People thought I was nuts. I hope to be back real soon & walking up to 15 miles a day like before.

Hope you are well. Lots of rest and therapy - grumpyinphx  969.3 #236 3:47PM

Question to those that upgraded to a premiere pass. Anyone else have an issue with account information for annual pass holders for Disneyland website? All my info, pass number, trips to DLR are gone. I've tried to re-enter my personal info (address, name, pass number) but it won't save. I still have all info showing for WDW website. Our 1st day at WDW, a cast member at guest services had to activ  More...

They are technically a different pass. Your Premium pass is CA only. The Premiere is technically a Florida pass with a different number. We lost our data when downgrading from Premiere to Premium. I think you can keep your old number online for reference though.  If you have used your pass already in CA, you shouldn't need to re-activate it for CA. Not sure if first use. We bought our passes in FL and didn't have to do anything in CA when we got here. *You WILL have issues at food places with your Premiere. The CM needs to either manually enter your pass # or do Club 33 discount (if they are lazy). Otherwise they will try to swipe over and over.  We also had issues getting photos to sync. I think it took 5 tries for my son's photo to show up. - DLKenCA  3769.5 #50 4:58PM

I got back from WDW a week ago today. In all, I have to admit I prefer DLR over WDW. I love DL Fantasy Land so much more. I missed the classic rides of Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, and Snow White. I was also surprised to see the difference in Buzz Lightyear. I can't wait to be back at DLR in 3 weeks. All I can say is I won't ever have to fly to the other side of the United States for a Disney f  More...

Throw Back Thursday. Remember these? I remember the excitement of being handed one.

Those were awesome, we won those two different times. The last time we won, we were leaving the Park in the morning after staying a few days, and we ended up staying until the Parks closed! - Admin 1:18PM
