When I was a kid the only time I got to see all my cousins at once was when we went to Disneyland. We only got to go five times (over the past 30 years) so each visit was like magic. The boys always made us sick on the teacups and we'd splash water at each other on pirates. Every time I go to the park now I think of them and how much I miss them.

So generous of you! My favorite memory was when my husband and I met our families at the parks. We dressed our oldest in a shirt that said, "Big Sister to Be" and surprised everyone. We were told we couldn't have anymore kids after our first, so this will always be such a cherished memory for us. Please add me. - RCmom 2588.7 #20 12:10PM

My family was very poor when I was growing up. I watched the mouseketeers on tv all the time and so wanted to go to Disneyland when I was little but my parents could never afford it. When I started grade school a friend that I made invited me to go with his family. While I was sad that my parents weren't able to go I was excited to finally be able to go myself. That memory of first entering the park was magical. Went on the mark twain riverboat today for the first time... Kinda cool how much of the old Disneyland is still left that u can see from the boat (this was part of natures wonderland or something like that I believe)

I live 5 minutes from the park. Two weeks ago I hadn't been there in 15 years. Since we got our annual pass this month we've been 8 times. Can't believe what I've been missing... Will never take it for granted again. Thanks for the post :)

I never take it for granted. I have lived very far from the parks before. I have gone 10 yrs between visits. I have had to look into the eyes of my children begging me to go to Disneyland again after a 5 year wait, only to have to tell them "I'm sorry, we could not afford it this year". I understand what you are saying and I do not blame you for feeling that we may be taking it for granted here in California, but I would venture to say that most everyone here who loves Disney cherishes every visit.
