We ALWAYS stay at the Resdince Inn by Marriott. I absolultey love this hotel! We have been going here since I was very little. The bedrooms are spacious, clean, ad comfortable. It's newly refurbished and you can get rooms with kitchen area inside. There is three different window views; the entrance wing you can see the fireworks every night from your room, two; the highway, not the best view but that's not what your here for. Number three; the pool, I love this view! If you turn the corner out your window you can see the fireworks. Now onto the pool area. I absolultey love the pool. There is a large pool and tanning area, also a kid pool an hottub surrounded by palm trees. The lobby is awesome. All Disney themed but at the same time casual and scerene like a normal hotel lobby. Everyone that works at this hotel is marvelous. Every year we come they bake us Disney cookies or a huge gift basket full of goodies and autograph books. There is an amazing contenental breakfast every morning and on specific nights there are taco nights or a salad bar open. Coffee and tea is always on. And of course, the gift shop! A little $$$$ but it's Disney merch so it's to be expected. There is also a computer room, laundry, and game room. There is also transportation to the parks that we used to take but we usually just have our own car. We used to stay at the castle inn but now we stay at the del sol right across the street from disneyland. It was nice clean and the room we were in had 2 king oe queen beds (can't remember) and a bunk bed. It was nice. - HauntedMansionGirl  8.2 #225 12:44AM

The HOJO is amazing its walking distance away. It has a water park area for kids and a poll that is separate if you don't have kids. Rooms are very clean rooms are a good size.
