My family may have the opportunity to visit DL Paris this summer. Having never been before, I would love any advise, reviews, tips, etc. Specifically, how many days you recommend going for...and for those who traveled there with young kids how they enjoyed the parks, and how they coped with the jetlag and long flights! Thank you so much! ✨
It was an awesome experience! Small compared to DL but definitely something I'm glad to have been able to do! From what I remember, the atmosphere was just as magical, and as DL like as it was in some ways, it sure sticks out from it! Indiana Jones is an upside down ride lol, there's a huge Alice in Wonderand maze thing, pirates takes a picture lol, uhmm most stuff is actually in English before French which was nice, and no fireworks :( we actually went on July 4th, and one day we covered most, but they have another park like MGM that we didn't get to do, but it's close by like Cali ads. So yea, definitely go and enjoy it!!(: can't wait to hear what you think if you get to go!!! Hope I helped as far as reviews go! - AvidDisneyThrifter220

Very helpful, thank you so much! Crossing my fingers we can make the trip happen! - MinnieMousewife 570.3 #194 10:07PM
You are so welcome!!! I wish I could help with tips and planning and stuff, but my dad took care of that stuff lol (I was 14 at the time) but yea, it's so great! Definitely worth it! Plus we has been traveling all over England the 2 weeks before, so we didn't have to deal with the jet lag by then! :D - AvidDisneyThrifter220 850.9 #107 10:10PM
Id only go for two days that's plenty of time. I would make sure you book a hotel on resort because its not really in Paris and quite a ways away from the heart of Paris by train..I enjoyed it and think that any Disney fan should make the trip - Dave

Yea, we actually stayed the night before and of in a seperate hotel closer to the park and took a shuttle bus there where they take guests specifically to the park, I can try bad get the name of it for you, because we stayed further out by the Eiffel tower and it was just easier to book another hotel closer as well. - AvidDisneyThrifter220 850.9 #107 10:15PM
When I went to Paris I stayed in a Studio hotel called phenicio that was by the train station Malakoff - Plateau de Vanves. It was really cheap but about 40 min away from Disney by train. But the cool thing was that the train drops you off right In front of the Disneyland resort. Two days is definitely more than enough. I went for one day bc I was only in Paris for 3 days and wanted to visit the museums and the Effiel Tower and I was able to see everything. They did have fireworks when I went mid July but they didn't have music to go with it. Space mountain mission 2 was really rough and made me feel sick. I loved their Alice maze and haunted manor and big thunder. At the Disney studios park crush's coaster was my favorite ride it was really unique and different from anything I've ever experienced before. - Principessa

Collectors RAK! Found this today while poking around an antique store and thought it would make a neat addition to an MW's collection. Vintage 1970's full coupon book for DL. This is from when you had to pay to ride every ride in the park. Will pick random winner on 1-5. Simple add me will work. Happy thoughts. :-)
i remember these...magic Key tickets where very special... Normal tickets were A - E with E tickets being for the best rides and tickets books only had one or two (memory fails me:) E tickets er book....Magic Key tickets were special books given for special groups...and could be used on any ride so of course we saved them for the E rides... Wonderful memories of the 60's....thanks for listening :) - nanabelle

BREAKING NEWS for current and future Club 33 members...Oh, and a little info on "Club 1901".
Last week, members of Disney's exclusive Club 33 learned about changes to their membership plan that takes effect with the 2012 contract—and based on the reaction of a few MousePlanet readers who have written about the change, it sounds like the news was not well-received.

Nerd question of the day: Have any MouseWaiters ever gone to the unofficial Harry Potter days in Disneyland? It's November 6th this year and I am thinking about going. Looks like it could be fun. :B
We had a team last year! I don't think I will make it this time though, I'm probably going to be at the whimsic alley craft fair that weekend. Go to wa on Saturday to stock up on goodies! - bluefairy

Ooh, an all MouseWait team?! That would be awesome to put together this year! (It'll also be the perfect way to introduce my Harry Potter friends to MouseWait!) I have been wanting to go to one of Whimsic Alley's craft fairs for a while so this is the perfect reason to go! Will you be selling items at the craft fair or just shopping? Just curious, how do they sort you into houses and how do the activities and house points work? Sorry, so many questions :) I am really curious and am starting to get really excited for this :D = - Chim-Cher-ee 165.5 #2078 10:53PM
Tickled Tink actually signed us up, so I'm not sure about details. Like the fb page, I'm sure they will post more info as it gets closer. There were only 3 of us mw'ers last year, ravenclaw house. You compete as individual teams as well as houses. It's a fun scavenger hunt and most people dress up! I'm planning on selling at the craft fair both days. I'm excited about the custom hp name badges by tly designs (the same designer of the MW buttons). - bluefairy 627.1 #174 4:39AM

I posted this somewhere else but feel like its worth sharing my thoughts in the lounge. I know a lot of people are upset about the ticket issue and there are steps that Admin and others are doing to try and fix it the best way possible. No need to worry about the hotel guests who have not purchased tickets cause they are on hold for that reason and it still looks like tickets will possibly be rel More...

Good rant Dave. Your right, everything will work out. It was really nice meeting you last weekend. Although you have ruined StarTours for me. We went on the next day and it was really boring! Lol I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost my dad and 2 close friends in a span of a few months 1 1/2 years ago and DL and MW is what got me through. So thanx because you helped me and didn't even know it. - SueBayou
