I have been walked off that ride before. We were under the burning wood so it was easy to get us out but they said they would have to advance the boats to get the other people out. We waited 45 minutes I can't imagine how long people that were in the middle had to wait - Deltachiq 968.9 #90 4:18PM

I wanted to say thank you so much for this picture! I grow up with the parade at disneyland and have lots of memories of watching this with my grandpa. I was also lucky enough to see this show with him in Florida with him just a year before he past. Means so much to me, thank you!

I have been on Splash mt. During an earthquake! Being that we were in the water no one in my log felt it, i'm not sure about any of the other logs. They stopped the ride and walked everyone off and have everyone fast passes to come back. since we didn't feel out we asked a CM what happened she said it was a pretty big one. The Disneyland resort takes the safety of our guest and CMs VERY seriously. It is the NUMBER ONE key that all cast members learn and is a part of everything we do. We are well trained and rehearsed on what to do in an seismic event. We know where the closest "safe heaven" is for guest and meeting places for CMs. We know how to evacuate our attraction and which route to use to safely get to a meeting place. We can not work an attraction until this information is learned and we pass a test proving our knowledge. We are updated and retest periodically. We were there for the Landers/Big Bear quakes in the early 90s. The park opened as usual but the crowds were small. Also the attractions opened as they finished inspecting them. The quake was early in the morning so no one was on anything at the time both quakes hit. - Diznimom 211.8 #1452 11:07AM
