Has anyone heard about this? Barney's making Minnie skinny for their holiday campaign. I don't like Minnie skinny, they should leave her the way she is. She is perfect the way she is.

Hmmm..... I really don't like it! Apart from the fact that they're messing with something really classic, I think they're going to end up feeding more messages into women that tells them that sickly skinny is what's IN and pretty. Heaven knows we're already bombarded by marketed messages and images of real women who are very thin, and that it's causing loads of self-esteem issues for women (especially young girls.) Now they are going to add fuel to the fire and take a cartoon character (who is known for her timeless beauty and classiness) and turn her into their ideal form of beautiful. Minnie is a cartoon character that young girls now see as beautiful but apparently they're going to be told that she's not skinny enough either. Nooo! I'm not for it. It kind of reminds me of that movie The Stepford Wives where they got sucked into the club and the wives were turned into robots (something like that....) Minnie is great how she is! It's a tie between "A Whole New World" and "Part of Your World". "Part of Your world because it sums up the entire movie, gets reprised based on how Ariel feels, and was the first Disney movie I ever saw. "Whole New World" because I simply love the song, I can't explain why. This is not Disney related, but I was hoping maybe you guys can help me out. I found a kitty outside my work today, I took her and bought her food. But the problem is I can't keep her because I have two dogs. I don't want to put her back in the street or take her to pound. I asked everyone I know if they want her but no one seems to want her. So I was wondering if any of you guys are interested or More...

Before you give her to anyone, take her to a vet and have her scanned for a micro-chip. She just might be somebody's lost baby. BTW...vet offices do this for free. Also check on Craigslist and other lost pet sights in your area, as well as the local animal shelter/ humane society in case her owner is looking. - Gia 785.5 #121 12:17AM

@gia I'm not sure I think there might be one but it's a lil far from me. One of my co workers said that she had been crying all day outside of target, that's where I work. He try to look for her but she wouldn't come out the bushes when me and my boyfriend approach her she came out right away, and came to us. My best advice is, if you recognize MWers, is to go to esplanade by ticket booths and ask anyone you recognize, if they don't, they might know someone who will.
