I love Disneland! So many fun memories from summer vacations with my family and cousins! I am a huge hockey fan. I believe that the only other place on earth that is as magical as Disneyland was Maple Leaf Gardens.

It is actually good for 3 people - just used this last month- the other posts describe the process - one note if you have a fast pass for the attraction and go thru the fast pass line you can ask for parent swap ticket as well

One parent goes through the normal line to get the parent swap and ride the attraction and then when they get off the other parent can go on with the pass through the fastpass or other area they tell you to board from. Similar to a fastpast. I think any attraction with a height requirement has it available. And I believe it's good for 3 guests? I can't remember. - MellieKay  173.4 #2268 2:59PM
All attractions have a parent swap ,however it's more common are attractions with height restrictions. I have a post about the program,I'll bump it for you - pikarich  4108.1 #27 2:59PM
Thanks!!! Awesome info!  - DCMAGurl  153.8 #2568 3:08PM
You can also go through the fast pass line and still get a parent pass. You don't have to go through the normal line. We usually always go through the fp line and get a parent pass. Then when the group is off, if I can't ride the ride then, someone uses my fp and goes on with whoever stayed off with me (I would either have a sleeping child on me or nursing 1 and another adult needs to stay off with my other 1-2 kids). So then someone gets to ride the ride again with who stays off. Then I usually end up going back later and riding with the parent pass, if I wasn't able to at a that time. But what's nice is like when we do Indiana jones. The group going on gets in line and Us Staying off head over to jungle or pirates with the little ones. Then we get off and switch kids around and then ride Indy and the others take the kids on a ride. That way the kids don't get too bored waiting for 2 rounds of ride riding :)  - brodysmommy  406.0 #510 3:21PM
wach ride is different. Space is only 2 people (unless it's hanged) since you ride in 2's. Indy was 4 people. RSR is 3 people. Soarin I think is 3 also. So they are all different.  But yes, you just have to show the cm at the front of the ride the child and adult staying off with them and the adult going on the ride gets the pass. It's really nice  - brodysmommy  406.0 #510 3:23PM
I only say normal line because I've never found a need to get a parent swap if we have fast passes.  - MellieKay  173.4 #2268 3:27PM
I've run in to the problem almost 50% if not more that each time we go to a ride with a fp I am nursing a child or one is being clingy to me. So if I only have my fp and now that they don't honor them at a later time, we always get a parent swap so then I am guaranteed to ride the ride some time that day. If I held on to my fp I would hardly get a chance to ride the ride at the time we go over there. Always happens to me. And sometimes I end up not being able to ride it at all that day. With 3 young kids it's hard to tell how they are going to be at any hour or minute of the day so I can never rely on the fp time that I will get on during that hour  - brodysmommy  406.0 #510 3:49PM
And we only get to DL/dca about 3 times a year for family vacation and now maybe less so I want to get on the rides as much as I can for the few days we are there and fp is always better than the normal line  - brodysmommy  406.0 #510 3:51PM
Yeah I have 4 and have dealt with the whole BF at the park thing I guess I've just been lucky enough to always make our fastpass times haha. We only go 2 maybe 3 times a year at most being from NorCal! - MellieKay  173.4 #2268 4:12PM
MellieKay We are in NorCal also. And yeah, mine always seem to want to BF at the wrong times :) or ill be wearing one and they just fell asleep so I hate to move them and wake them so just wear them for awhile. Now with 3 I wear the baby a the time and the other 2 ride so it's always a challenge timing the rides.  - brodysmommy  406.0 #510 5:55PM

One thing that I found expectantly pleasant was the positive interactions with the CMs - everyone I had the pleasure to interact with seemed to be having as much fun as the guests - even when dealing with the capacity crowds and longer lines for things they seemed as excited as all of us to be part of the event

I was quite shocked how well people behaved only because I've heard how bad it could get. There was plenty of room to except for the opening part when people trying to get in at 6am and the usual fireworks/parade. But other than that the crowd was quite low. Let's just say it was less crowded than the 4th of July. The parade was amazing!!!! And the best part is sharing it with close mousewait friends and meeting new ones..so much fun. Would I do it again? Yes but opt to leave by 2-3 am cause I was exhausted. - adventurerEnDisneylandia {AED}  966.2 #175 11:27AM

ABSOLUTELY THE CM'S!!!! So many gave us energy to carry on! They were so fun and loved hearing what we were enjoying and our favorite moments. They were so helpful with information. MrS had a younger coworker and his girlfriend stuck outside security. The security team had not yet been informed about the dining reservation policy yet and sent them away. They are both special needs young adults and when we couldn't find them security helped us and looked everywhere. The leads made sure they got safely to DCA. We couldn't get them into DL but we were able to renter for our meals and they had a blast in DCA. Having three dining reservations made the event a breeze. This was the best one we ever went to!!! And running into our MW friends every time we turned around was fantastic!!!!! Loved every moment.  - MrsSchnooks  3112.3 #40 11:24AM
The cast members and seeing people how they act when they don't get enough sleep. Saw a lot of people sleeping lol - dsnyfrk28  49.9 #4525 11:28AM
the CM's were awesome showing their energy and smiles. I was impressed that they opened Disneyland to allow the DCA crowd enjoy the Disneyland experience. Even though it was crowded, the CMs did a great job getting everyone through the esplanade. 😊 - hkpinay  256.0 #1224 12:58PM

We are checked in at the HOJO and getting ready for the mayhem! Too excited to sleep

This will be my 2nd year working the 24 hour party I have a pretty easy shift 18:30-22:30 but CMs are being routed to Angel stadium so guests can park in our lot. It's not so bad...I can't wait to see the new WOC! Have fun everyone, pack your patience and above all else, be polite! Thanks!Β  - CM_Tamstirr  553.2 #343 10:39PM

Hello! No line for me tonight. I can't handle the 24 hour crowds but I can't wait to see all of the pics. I'm excited for those that are going. I hope it doesn't rain on the people in line. Pack patience this weekend, be safe, and have fun! - luxkitty  2630.2 #44 10:47PM
The crowds will be extra crowded.  πŸ˜¬ - DisneyFanZoe  1217.3 #128 11:16PM
Some of the people who lined up will be pushing 36+ hours, that's insane.  - BeatleMike  630.4 #294 11:19PM
I couldn't do that.  I'm old.  And tired.  And sane.  πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚ - DisneyFanZoe  1217.3 #128 11:21PM
BeatleMike 36 hours of dealing with crowds and no sleep = I cannot handle that. - luxkitty  2630.2 #44 11:22PM
People need to be cautious, 24 hours is already pushing your body. If they don't rest and go further, their judgement will become impaired, hand eye coordination goes out the window so I hope they aren't driving, hormones go out of whack and emotions will be all over the place, the heart actually starts to stress and blood pressure will likely go crazy, some people after 24 hours actually get the affect of dehydration or even schizophrenia. These early birds best keep this in mind and take naps when they can for their own safety and that of others. - BeatleMike  630.4 #294 11:37PM
And DL is just sensory overload anyway--being in that for 24 hours straight can be overwhelming, then you add crowds to it.  Then, you consider that a lot of people will have been eating junk food, drinking coffee/energy drinks, eating sugar, and maybe some alcohol.  If you're haven't ever done something like this before and aren't aware of the signals your body sends you, it could be bad.  Panic attacks, high blood pressure, dehydration--those are all very real concerns.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  592.6 #320 11:50PM
Again...why take kids to that? So wrong imo. 😏 - Darlingwendi  1193.2 #132 12:25AM
It is...  Seeing exhausted children at 3am is not pretty and it's mind boggling the parents that insist they continue on.   - DisneyFanZoe  1217.3 #128 12:29AM
My son wanted to go and I flat out told him, 13 is too young to be up that longΒ running around all day at the parks. Today was his last day of school, so that wouldn't have been the issue. - BeatleMike  630.4 #294 12:43AM

ok I live in the SoCal resident zip code and bought the tickets at the local Vons - they did not question me when I bought them and my party took them strait to the gate for admission with no problem or questions - just my experience

When you purchase the tickets for someone else, they ask you the names of the people you are giving them too. They print the names on the tickets and anyone over 18 must show an ID to show their name matches the ticket. The SoCal person does not need to be there when they enter the park. I purchased tickets for some friends at DL and this is what happened to me. - caramiapoohAKAface  3831.5 #31 8:52PM
