I am wondering if y'all with more Disneyland experience than me have recommendations on the best kid-friendly restaurants at the parks, other than character meals? I have a 9 and 5 year old. I've been browsing Mousewait's menus and reviews and have a list of a few that could be good, but I also wanted to ask first-hand if any of the parents on here have places to recommend that your kids particula  More...

We love Tortilla Jo's in Downtown Disney! Tableside guacamole is a must! There is a kids menu and there is usually a "balloonologist" who comes around and will make balloon characters for the kiddos! My kiddos love that. 🎈 - EvilPrincess  87.1 #3797 9:26AM
Oh that sounds awesome! I will add that to our list. Thanks very much! - jalensmommy  155.3 #2637 9:41AM
Tortilla Jo's gets πŸ‘πŸ‘ from me - HalfCaff  550.8 #371 5:11PM
I have a picky 9 year old and his favorites are Hungry Bear, Carnation and Pizza Port. Of course he loves hamburgers so any place that has burgers is good for him. He loves to snack when we are at the parks, churros, popcorn, pretzels!  - CM_tamstirr  558.6 #361 11:02AM
My girls really love the pasta and chicken at plaza inn. They are 3 & 8. They also like paradise pasta & pizza in DCA.  - BibbidiBobbidiMe  248.6 #1371 5:00PM
I second the Plaza for pasta and chicken. Plus if there's a parade going on you can see it. I have a5 and 7 y.o. my tip: you can ask for double apples instead of both carrots and apples on the side. Other tip: you get so much food. We ask for all white meat and get two breasts so my husband and i can share a plate. - brigeet  498.8 #429 5:25PM
We also do the chicken and pasta also we share an adult chicken between me and my wife we usually ca eat there for a family of four for 36.00 with our discount with the deluxe pass - Howards  90.9 #3731 7:50PM
I eat like a 5 & 9 yr old. In DL I like the hot dogs at coke corner, cheddar garlic twist by fantasy faire, & pretzels. In DCA I like award weiners, burgers from smokejumpers, sandwiches from the warf, mac n cheese from Flos, pretzel bites from the cones, pasta from paradise pasta, also the corn on the cob. @RadiatorSprings4Ever may also add in any I missed - UTDISNEYFAMILY  1902.1 #88 5:10PM
jalensmommy My kids are pretty picky. My youngest likes the spaghetti at Boardwalk Pizza but I have to get the sauce on the side.  Whitewater Snacks is a hit. The atmosphere is pretty laid back. They like the grilled cheese and the oldest will get the pizza with light sauce.  They will both eat burgers from Smokejumpers but it has to be plain(meat, cheese and bun). Over at DL, I know they will eat the chicken and mashed potatoes from Plaza Inn(gravy on the side). I am always good to go at The Stage Door Cafe or The Golden Horseshoe with their nuggets and fries. A lot of times we just pack Subway and snack at the parks. Have fun!πŸ˜€ - RadiatorSprings4Ever  1594.7 #106 5:48PM

The Disney Store has these marshmallow scented Mickey (and Minnie!) stuffed animals for $7.50 with any $25 purchase. They come in yellow or blue for Mickey, and pink or purple for Minnie. They are super cute and soft, and they smell yummy!

I found someone's wallet by the shuttles and turned it in...they can track people down if AP holders right?

Well if the person is still there most likely they will be checking Lost and Found. Otherwise, they have been known to mail items back to guests. My day's cane was mailed back to him after they found it - KissDclown  1089.1 #167 2:12PM

I'd like to get the advice of all you MW LA-area resident experts! What would be the fastest, least traffic route from LAX to Disneyland? Everything I search on google is giving answers from like 2009 so I'd love some current advice. All I've come up with is to try to void I5 at all costs due to few lane and construction. But like I said that is a few years old. Also, we will be making the drive a  More...

Sigalert.com is an amazing website. We always re-route based on current traffic conditions. Hopefully some can shed light on directions, always be ready to detour if needed. - Linzee  1189.8 #147 10:15AM
105 to 605 to 91 to 5. Seems confusing but plenty of carpool lanes. - QueenBella  175.0 #2318 10:15AM
Ok thank you! - jalensmommy  155.3 #2637 10:49AM
Or you can do the 405 south to the 110 north(.3 or less of a mile) to the 91 east to the 5 south. They all have a carpool lane. Usually the carpool for 105 fwy gets backup because of the 110 fwy carpool merge. - VfxGenie  1556.7 #109 11:45AM
if its a sunday at noon/1ish it shouldn't matter. just make sure to check the sigalert or waze app with traffic info. - toph  2418.2 #60 12:17PM

I am getting close to booking an early December birthday/Christmas trip for my soon-to-be-6-year-old son! I am really looking forward to experiencing Disneyland with the Christmas decorations and changes. I adore Christmas (I celebrate it for like 3 months lol) and I'd really like to know what are your favorite Disneyland Christmastime events/tips/memories etc? I went to the Disneyland website  More...

The Christmas fireworks are great and followed by snow which is amazing! Special foods in the park including the giant hand made candy canes. The beautiful tree on Main Street and decorations throughout the parks(new decorations in DCA this year). IASW is holiday theamed. New this year is ice skating in DTD. You're going to love it! - NikkiMickey  1686.3 #99 2:28PM
Oh my goodness, ice skating?! That would be so fun - jalensmommy  155.3 #2637 2:45PM
If you're there for multiple nights, try to watch the fireworks from both Main Street and iasw. Both are spectacular. Main Street is the best spot for all the effects and the big picture, but small world is less crowded and its easier to play in the snow. But don't try to eat the snow. It's soap.πŸ˜·πŸ˜‚ - LittleAprilShowers  587.1 #345 2:35PM

To plan or not to plan another surprise Disneyland trip for my son.....that is my dilemma! I surprised him in may (with tons of help from MWers!) and he is begging to go back again..... I'm thinking/hoping I could surprise him for a few days over his birthday on early December... Putting it on a credit card then paying it back in a couple months after taxes are back isn't bad right?! Lol

You know... I think the surprise is a great idea. But you should consider that in December it is a bit crowded. If that isn't a big deal for you then great, but December, because of holidays is busy. Right after New Years is a very nice time to go too. - IMissDisney  1205.7 #144 9:49PM

Can someone please help me by telling me how to unsubscribe from posts from individual users, so I stop getting email updates every time they post?
