I would like to ask your guys' opinion about Paint the Night viewing, and whether dining packages are worth it..... I (solo) will be bringing my two boys ages 5&9 this April. I can't wait for them to see the parade, it looks spectacular! I have searched MW posts on viewing packages for BB & aladdins oasis... I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for or against getting a package. Is the v  More...

I like to sit back by Small World. The parade usually starts there and then you can stay and see the fireworks. The Alladin viewing area is back there. No chairs, sit on the ground. - Taunton  1336.3 #136 2:05PM
I will post update tonight I have the Aladdin package tonight  - excmdlgurl  365.1 #641 4:19PM

Haven't done a dining package. I like watching it by Small World. We have found pretty good spots close to showtime. I have a very active toddler, so I usually bring snacks to help keep him occupied while we wait. Works well for us 😊 - MARVELus  491.0 #451 6:11PM
To me, PTN differs greatly based on your seats. We watched it once from the curb (so fun!) and once a few rows back near IASW and I could see nothing from a few rows back since they force everyone to stand (except for curb people). I get really frustrated that we're all comfy and seated up until 15 minutes before when they make everyone stand up and squish in like sardines. I'm 5' so it becomes impossible to see unless I'm in the front.  Good luck! I take my kids alone often too so i understand! - brigeet  579.0 #360 2:34PM

I am wondering if y'all with more Disneyland experience than me have recommendations on the best kid-friendly restaurants at the parks, other than character meals? I have a 9 and 5 year old. We love Tortilla Jo's in Downtown Disney! Tableside guacamole is a must! There is a kids menu and there is usually a "balloonologist" who comes around and will make balloon characters for the kiddos! My kiddos love that. 🎈 - EvilPrincess  260.3 #1283 9:26AM

I have a picky 9 year old and his favorites are Hungry Bear, Carnation and Pizza Port. Of course he loves hamburgers so any place that has burgers is good for him. He loves to snack when we are at the parks, churros, popcorn, pretzels!  - CM_tamstirr  559.9 #374 11:02AM
My girls really love the pasta and chicken at plaza inn. They are 3 & 8. They also like paradise pasta & pizza in DCA.  - BibbidiBobbidiMe  269.8 #1196 5:00PM
I second the Plaza for pasta and chicken. Plus if there's a parade going on you can see it. I have a5 and 7 y.o. my tip: you can ask for double apples instead of both carrots and apples on the side. Other tip: you get so much food. We ask for all white meat and get two breasts so my husband and i can share a plate. - brigeet  579.0 #360 5:25PM
We also do the chicken and pasta also we share an adult chicken between me and my wife we usually ca eat there for a family of four for 36.00 with our discount with the deluxe pass - Howards  121.2 #3249 7:50PM
I eat like a 5 & 9 yr old. In DL I like the hot dogs at coke corner, cheddar garlic twist by fantasy faire, & pretzels. In DCA I like award weiners, burgers from smokejumpers, sandwiches from the warf, mac n cheese from Flos, pretzel bites from the cones, pasta from paradise pasta, also the corn on the cob. @RadiatorSprings4Ever may also add in any I missed - UTDISNEYFAMILY  1999.8 #85 5:10PM
jalensmommy My kids are pretty picky. My youngest likes the spaghetti at Boardwalk Pizza but I have to get the sauce on the side.  Whitewater Snacks is a hit. The atmosphere is pretty laid back. They like the grilled cheese and the oldest will get the pizza with light sauce.  They will both eat burgers from Smokejumpers but it has to be plain(meat, cheese and bun). Over at DL, I know they will eat the chicken and mashed potatoes from Plaza Inn(gravy on the side). I am always good to go at The Stage Door Cafe or The Golden Horseshoe with their nuggets and fries. A lot of times we just pack Subway and snack at the parks. Have fun!πŸ˜€ - RadiatorSprings4Ever  1750.9 #101 5:48PM

I found someone's wallet by the shuttles and turned it in...they can track people down if AP holders right?

Well if the person is still there most likely they will be checking Lost and Found. Otherwise, they have been known to mail items back to guests. My day's cane was mailed back to him after they found it - KissDclown  1089.1 #174 2:12PM

I'd like to get the advice of all you MW LA-area resident experts! What would be the fastest, least traffic route from LAX to Disneyland? Everything I search on google is giving answers from like 2009 so I'd love some current advice. All I've come up with is to try to void I5 at all costs due to few lane and construction. But like I said that is a few years old. Also, we will be making the drive a  More...

Sigalert.com is an amazing website. We always re-route based on current traffic conditions. Hopefully some can shed light on directions, always be ready to detour if needed. - Linzee  1340.1 #135 10:15AM
105 to 605 to 91 to 5. Seems confusing but plenty of carpool lanes. - QueenBella  175.0 #2352 10:15AM
Ok thank you! - jalensmommy  179.8 #2287 10:49AM
Or you can do the 405 south to the 110 north(.3 or less of a mile) to the 91 east to the 5 south. They all have a carpool lane. Usually the carpool for 105 fwy gets backup because of the 110 fwy carpool merge. - VfxGenie  1556.7 #113 11:45AM
if its a sunday at noon/1ish it shouldn't matter. just make sure to check the sigalert or waze app with traffic info. - toph  2418.2 #64 12:17PM
