When do you suggest waiting for the Paint the Night parade? We went into the parks at 7:30 and it was packed along the route. We weren't trying to see it tonight but will want to tomorrow. I'm also going to stay for fireworks. How soon do you sit and wait for the parade & fireworks? And any suggestions on where to sit? Thanks!!!

From what I heard, some people start waiting around 5 and perhaps even earlier.  Although, it's not so bad waiting for a spot after the fireworks because a lot of people are making their way out of the parks.  That's what I did yesterday for the 11pm showing.  My friends and I found a spot in Main St. towards the end of the fireworks show.  Hope this helps :) - SorcererD91  1774.9 #85 11:47PM
The 11:00 parade was easy to see.  - JenGwen323  1728.3 #90 12:37AM
One spot I noticed, in front of the Magic Shop. They keep the street open for traffic, but at a certain time they put up a rope across the street. That's a good last minute spot.  - JenGwen323  1728.3 #90 12:43AM
Thats where we ended up seeing it on the 24 hour event. Cause we had no choice n we were trapped Lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but it turned out for the best.  - iLOVELUCYnDISNEY  887.1 #186 12:48AM
It's easier to find a spot closer to small world. I found a great second row spot at 715 one night in the section across from the teacups and last night got another great second row spot right across from the Small World line at like 745. But if you want in Main St then definitely around 5-539 - PrincessAsh  218.5 #0 8:02AM
There is a little more space once you start walking up towards its a small world. Last Sunday I got a good second row space by the bathrooms next to the teacups at 7pm.  - jesdodger  14.4 #0 12:15PM

Just checked and I can use my mom's complimentary 30th Anniversary ticket! 30 years later and finally putting it to use!!

yep, back in the days they never put expiration dates on them. My family has a bunch of the old tickets like that as well as the commemorative tickets that were sold in frames.  For instance I have these large tickets for the opening of ToonTown and Indy and I took them out of the frame and used them and then put them back into the sense of not using the ticket ...the front gate was laughing since they never see that - Dave  12962.8 #2 12:45PM
My grandma had a very old ticket from when my grandpa worked for Disney and they told her she could use it but suggested she save it because it was probably worth more than the cost of admission. Lol.  I'm pretty sure they ended up giving her a comp entry that day.  - MXPrincess399  743.0 #237 12:47PM

Okay, so this might come off as very silly, but what do people do with their stuff when getting on rides? I want to take a backpack for carrying anything we might buy and holding my DSLR camera. Are there places to hold bags on say... The Mickey coaster at DCA or splash mountain? Any other tips on how to enjoy the park? It will be just my daughter and I. Thanks!

I carry a mini backpack and keep my phone in a heavy duty camp style zip bag. Put my backpack at my feet and stick my foot through one of the straps...which is mostly so I won't forget it lol.  - montanapixies  53.8 #4412 9:19PM

I found the dates for Grad Nights. Looks like we will be there during 2 of those dates at the end of May. Are they as bad as I've been reading online? Now I'm a little nervous but still going on our trip.

We went 2 years ago during a grad night and I didn't really notice a difference. We did ca adventure in the morning and ended the night in disneyland since grad night is in ca adv.Β  - Mariela_ela_ela  148.1 #2664 10:18PM
Oh it's in California Adventure? Good to know. So it doesn't affect Disneyland hours?  - MariaR  183.8 #2130 10:32PM
No, there are rules for grad night. Students can't attend the parks until after 3 because they have to attend class that day. Then they have to be in ca adv by a certain time or they can't enter, i believe it was by 7 or 8 when I went. Disneyland stays open like normal.  - Mariela_ela_ela  148.1 #2664 10:35PM
They are able to park hop but have to be in DCA by a certain time. - luxkitty  2712.8 #42 10:37PM
They have to be in DCA by 10 or 11 and it closes for them at 2 - TinkerSchelle  1768.8 #86 12:59AM
they aren't that bad, but I try to avoid them. More teenagers being teenagers. Have a great trip!  - JenGwen323  1728.3 #90 11:12AM

Hi!!! I'm taking my daughter Disneyland in May to celebrate her birthday. Any suggestions on a fun place to eat for a 7year old. I'd especially love a place that would sing happy birthday and offers yummy desserts. Thanks!

Goofy's Kitchen in DL hotel. If you are there at Plaza Inn at the right time and Moses is there he makes it extra special. He often will bring out a dinner roll with a birthday candle in it and get the restaurant to sing happy birthday while he plays the harmonica. - DLKenCA  2300.3 #55 1:13PM
I vote Ariel's Grotto if it's open. Super special and the little dessert platter is totes adorbs. My 5 year old niece still talks about it. πŸ˜ƒ - Darlingwendi  1203.0 #134 1:22PM

I've heard you can buy discounted tickets if you go after a certain time? For example, if I wanted to go that day but its already after 5pm... Is this true??

Sometimes they have twilight tickets, but they are in conjunction with an event. Dapper Day offered them and I believe i read that the MW reunion will too. - JenGwen323  1728.3 #90 1:41PM
πŸ‘† This. Also, it doesn't have to be the exact day of the event, there is a certain time frame in which to use them. - bluefairy  643.3 #290 4:38PM

Hi MWers. What is the number I call to get things they sell in the park? My little one tried spinning our Alice in Wonderland snow globe we got at the park in April. I'm not sure how she did it, but it ended up falling off the table and it broke. :( I can't find it on the Disney store website. And I really really hope it's still at the parks. This was my 1st trip back after 10 years (her 1st) and  More...

Disney DelivEars, 1-877-560-6477 is their new number. Hope you can get a replacement! - JustCantWait  1140.9 #145 3:02AM

My mom found this ticket when we were moving n cleaning out drawers. Do you think it's still valid??

those are actually still valid...Back in the days they did not have experation dates on tickts, the commertive tickets and the tickets that they use to give CMs for Christmas and Summer..My dad has actually given us tickets like this in the past for friends and they have worked. it takes a Supervisor and so forth out but they do work - Dave  12962.8 #2 10:05PM
