Tell me, if you're in the park on the day of a Mnsshp, how do they make you leave before the party starts of you don't have a ticket for it, especially given that people with tickets can enter 3 hours before the event?

"Wrist bands up!" - CM_Shadowgamer  2666.4 #63 12:52AM
Yeah.  That.  About a million and one times! - IDVandalSkipperCM  2677.9 #62 12:05PM
😂it's true! - Duchess_SMK  6631.6 #22 12:22PM
If you have a ticket to the party they give you a wrist band at the gate. If you don't have a wristband once the party starts you will be asked to leave. - bambirn  108.8 #3609 6:40PM
Oh, thought it must be something like tha, thanks. But if you're lining up for a ride they let you ride? - Simon  8.9 #12927 6:41PM
They will cut off some attractions at a certain time but make an announcement. They will limit where you can depart off train to only Main Street if on train. And they make announcements everywhere  and check armbands. Once they make an announcement, they will wave you towards exits . - secretagentangel  10220.4 #11 7:02PM
They start setting up "check points", blocking the entrance to lands and leaving a small opening. If  you don't have a wrist band, you can't get past that point. Cast Members start standing in doorways to attractions, shops, restaurants and even the bathrooms. If you don't have a wrist band you are not let in. Shops will close extra doors and only have the one or two doors open with the Cast Member standing by it. It's amazing how efficient they are and how fast an area gets cleared of guests that do not have a band. If you're already in line you get to ride but they will begin the shooing process to the exit of the park once you are off. - Autoalice  161.4 #2684 12:59AM
Thanks all, appreciate the info'. It sounds like they have it well sewn up!.  - Simon  8.9 #12927 3:48AM

Coming from New Zealand with a 10 day pass. Will have 4 or 5 full days and the rest will be a couple of hours at the end of the day. I've been at Christmas and New Year, but never at Halloween. Is it worth buying tickets to Mickey's not so scary Halloween party?

If you've never been and are coming from New Zealand I would do it. You don't have to dress up, but there are a lot of things you can only see during that event. - DLKenCA  3330.9 #51 3:16PM
Thanks for the tip, might be an investment I need to make. Should I buy tickets before I come or are they easy enough to get at the gate? - Simon  8.9 #12927 3:36PM
If you can get them before then do it. Most nights sell out -  1582.4 #127 3:42PM
Before you come. Almost every date sold out last year. If you are staying at one of the resort hotels, they do have a few available the day of (not guaranteed) but if youre staying off-property, definitely buy in advance! - LittleAprilShowers  588.1 #391 3:44PM
Also make sure you buy for the right park. People have bought the Disneyworld party by mistake. They won't let you use them at DL.  - warchanted  174.9 #2457 12:41AM

Can you buy an 'MU' cap like Mike wears in the movie, at DL or DCA?

Yup. They sell them across the way from Hyperion theater, near the restrooms - JoshTheJunkyardJamboreer  351.0 #750 1:42AM
Thanks for that, I need to get me one of those! I'm coming from New Zealand next week. - Simon  8.9 #12927 4:17AM

I've been to DL over Christmas and New Year. How busy is it now compared to then? I'm going to be there from 19th July.

It's typically busy all summer long with the crowd index ranging from 75-85. - chhunkie  311.9 #935 5:38AM
It's not quite as crowded as it is that week between Christmas and New Years. - IDVandalSkipperCM  2677.9 #62 5:41AM

I'm coming all the way from New Zeland next month. Should I bring my 'Glow with the Show" ears or do they not have the special viewing areas for them any more? It's a long way to bring them if they are not useful. :-)

Bring them! There's a special fireworks section now! - Cinderella_Schnooks  3490.2 #49 9:25PM
There isn't a special viewing area. They are still cool and people around you often will ask you about it. But the reserved areas are only occasional. They MIGHT do it during July 4th weekend. Otherwise you are just one of the cool people wearing them in with the crowds. - DLKenCA  3330.9 #51 11:22PM
Thanks all. So some mixed responses. MrsSchnooks says there are special sections and DLKenCA says there isn't. Can anyone cast the deciding vote? - Simon  8.9 #12927 1:22AM
I'm bumping some info from sleepyhead that should help. I guess it depends on when you're coming. - Cinderella_Schnooks  3490.2 #49 1:57AM
I guess the "section" may not be there but they've added the fireworks to it now. - Cinderella_Schnooks  3490.2 #49 2:00AM
Thanks for that MrsSchnooks, most appreciated. A bit disappointing as I enjoyed the prime positions at various things without having to line up. - Simon  8.9 #12927 2:09AM
Just pack the ears! Lol - dumbbunny  627.7 #372 3:10AM
Bring them! There are always some clusters who have them, designated section or not, and its so fun to be part of the magic. And you gotta see what they do with the fireworks! - Melody_CM  26802.9 #2 6:33AM

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I can buy giftcards at DLR please? I was going to buy some online as Christmas presents for the family but they wanted $25 to post them to me, I figure that's $25 I could spend in the park if I buy them in the park.

I've seen them sold at world of Disney. They are easily found. - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #426 2:49AM
You can also purchase them at ticket booths. Those ones are reload able I believe. - Princessana08  84.7 #4057 8:24AM
If you're talking about the Disney gift cards for spending (rather that ticket cards), they also sell them in grocery stores. Our Von's has them most of the time. - ThatStarWarsKimberly  417.6 #592 8:36AM

So is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique worth it? And if so can you book online or by email? Or do you not really have to book? I'll be there Dec and early Jan so thinking it wil be busy!

I'd make a reservation. It is expensive but your princess will love it. - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #426 1:59AM

Would need to get the premium AP as we there over Christmas and others have blockout dates. 14 Day park hopper for 4 people only half the price of AP for 4. Didn't know about the discounts though. - Simon  8.9 #12927 10:31PM
It's something to consider. Perhaps jot down a lust of what you expect at the park and figure out the amount you would save and add that to the park hopper cost. Then compare the two totals. :) you also get an ap discount at the hojo so figure that into the equation as well. - aidensmama  340.3 #784 10:39PM
Thanks, is it possible to upgrade, now that I have bought the passes though? - Simon  8.9 #12927 10:41PM
Yes. I believe you pay the difference between the 14 day passes and the ap. - aidensmama  340.3 #784 10:43PM
Thanks, I'll check it out! The annoying thing about the 14 day pass is that it expires 14 days after the first use so can't even use it on 14 random days over 3 weeks. - Simon  8.9 #12927 10:49PM

Hi all. I'm bringing the family over in Dec/Jan. When's the least busy time Dec 20th to around Jan 13th? Or is it all busy?

January would be less busy, but you might have to accept a few attraction closures as the holiday themes are removed, which is a bit of a bummer, especially since you are coming from so far.  There's no place like Disney at Christmas so I'd just commit to a time then go for it.  Even with crowds, with 6 days you will have plenty of time to see and do all you like.  No matter what you'll still have a great time! - MoonWillow  381.3 #654 1:25PM
ITs pretty busy around that time. Your best bet is to hope for rain! That really clears people out - ladylikesdisney  945.0 #228 12:40PM
