Yes, it comes in the cross body/letter carrier style too. And it's actually a little bigger than the Sketch cross body because it has about an inch of fabric/leather on the botton rather than just the two side pieces sewn together. I will post a picture. - MXPrincess399

Some exciting stuff coming to Buena Vista Street in DCA. Characters and entertainment will dot the entrance plaza and corridor, styled after 1920s and 1930s Los Angeles.
The Citizens of Buena Vista Street will interact with visitors along the path.
The Red Car News Boys, inspired by Disneyβs βNewsiesβ movie and play, will perform from the new Red Car Trolleys with songs from the 1920s and 1930s.
A jazzy group, Five & Dime, will entertain visitors in Carthay Circle, the hub of the Buena Vista Street corridor.
Performances will run throughout the day at specific times. The goal is to have something happening at all times, said John McClintock, a Disneyland Resort spokesman. (according to OC Register) |

We had a Up themed wedding last October! My profile pic is a tiny preview ;) it was a wonderful day and the theme fit so perfectly for us. I even walked up the aisle to Married Life and after we were pronounced man and wife we walked together to Adventure is Out There! ;) Our guest book was a drawing of the Up house and the guests put their fingerprint and those made up the balloons. Oh my gosh! So my dad called me tonight to tell me something "cool" and new about Disneyland. He said that I needed to sit down for the news. He announced, "Rebekah you are going to be sooooo excited because Starbucks is coming to Disneyland soon." I was laughing so hard I couldn't literally talk! He then said, "Wow I'm glad you are so excited about the news because your speechless." I said, "sorry dad I am not trying to be rude at all but the reason I'm laughing so hard is because I've heard about this news 60 times just today alone." Ahhhh....I just love my dad and I love his enthusiasm too!! |

Fun Fact: This week in 1957: The Midget Autopia ride opened in Fantasyland. When Disneylandβs Midget Autopia closed in 1966, Walt Disney gave the ride to his boyhood hometown, Marceline, Missouri. The Midget Autopia operated for a number of summers on a new track in Marcelineβs Walt Disney Municipal Park. If youβve ridden Autopia you might have noticed a bronze statue of a little car mounted on a pedestal at the right side of the track. Itβs a nod to the past. The statue was once an actual Midget Autopia car in Anaheim and Marceline. A plaque on the pedestal reads, βMidget Autopia, Fantasyland, 1956-1965.β (Thatβs close. The Disneyland ride actually opened in 1957 and closed in 1966.) Information from yesterland.com

Fun Fact: Walt Disney began developing the concept of a haunted mansion nearly 20 years before it was actually constructed. Versions of a haunted house attraction appeared in early concept art during the initial planning of what would become Disneyland. Walt had planned to build a small "theme park" on a parcel of land across the street from his Burbank studios. Disney's art director, Harper Goff, created a concept sketch for the proposed park called "Church, Graveyard, and Haunted House", which depicted a gothic haunted house on a hill. Plans for the new park outgrew Walt's eleven acre lot, so he purchased a much larger plot of land in Anaheim. He used the talents of artists from the motion picture industry to create the highly imaginative park. These artists and engineers became known as "imagineers".
Originally, the haunted mansion was going to be located on an off-shoot of Main Street, at a dead end. Then it was going to be built in Frontierland but eventually the whole project was put on hold. Even though the façade was completed, it was an empty shell for years due to storyline problems and other distractions such as the 1964 New York World's Fair, where Disney built the first version of "It's a Small World", among other state of the art attractions. With the loss of their great visonary, the Imagineers debated over the design concepts of the haunted mansion, such as whether the haunted mansion experience should be scary, or funny. In the end, imaginers Marc Davis (funny), and Claude Coats (scary), combined their ideas, so the ride begins with spooky sets and chilling concepts, and eventually becomes "a swinging wake", full of silly spooks, and ghostly gags. Finally, after years of planning the New Orleans Square Haunted Mansion opened its doors, on August 9, 1969. (information from Haunteddimensions.com and Wikipedia.com)
