At a garage sale in a tiny town in Washington state. Everything is in brand new condition except the Mickey Mouse cookbook from 1975. Even the mints haven't been opened. The Disneyland souvenir photo book is pre-Splash Mountain, that and the Snow White lithograph are my favorites. My husband and I will be in Disneyland in 10 days! We live in Washington state, so we don't get to come down nearly as often as I would like. We have our trip booked and will be in Anaheim from May 20th to May 26th! We chose this week for three great reasons. 1.) May 14th is my 35th birthday (belated celebration). 2.) May 21st is our wedding anniversary and 3.) It's the "off-season" and the crowds will be light. But, with Bats day and the MW reunion (which we hope to attend) on Sunday, AP events on Monday and Tuesday, and Grad Nite Wedn More...

Good morning MouseWaiters! I have a mind boggling question. Why is it less expensive to book a resort hotel and buy park tickets separately, than it is to buy the Disney vacation package? I see with the package we get a lanyard and a character phone call. Doesn't seem worth $300. Am I missing something?

The package could be more if the room is a different type (theme park view vs parking lot view/lower level). The current pricing on Park hoppers through the Disney website are pretty awesome right now so that'll save you $$ too (packages don't include the current promo priced tickets). If you're a member of aaa or Costco I'd check those websites too because they may be lower and sometimes throw in a character breakfast or free Disney gift cards as well.
