#waittimes - it really bothers me when people post bogus wait times. Like last Thursday, I was at the parks from open to close. DL Railroad was closed for a week of refurb and yet someone kept posting wait times for it, which I kept correcting to "closed". Wish there was a way to catch and block such input bcs it weakens the fundamental purpose for the app.
#UncleWalt - On the occasion of his birthday, wanted to share this Chicago Tribune article about Walt's birthplace. I visited there a couple years ago and posted pictures. There's also a post about it on my blog. It's been a rental for years. Glad to see someone wants to honor it and share it.
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
