I just heard on the news (in Utah) that Disneyland will stop allowing kids in the park without an adult. Is this for liability or for crowd control? Hmmm.
Its to conserve cotton candy. - madsdad  1120.6 #73 9:25PM
Who is sending their 13 or under year old to Disney unsupervised anyway? Both a liability issue and safety for the child, as much as we might not like it there are a lot of creepy people out there and there is no morality or background check to get into the parks - Pixarprincess  531.4 #214 10:12PM
It has already gone into effect for some CMs. Saw it happen on Goofy's Sky School in DCA last week. - Jacqueline  546.7 #204 6:56PM
They based their decision, in part, on the Red Cross's recognition of 14years being a solid age to begin babysitting. Makes sense to me. While I wouldn't leave a 14 year old, or anyone under the age of 17 really, alone at the parks, I do see their pov. Source: LA Times article - KylaShea  533.2 #213 7:04PM

I was planning a quick trip on March 7-9 to visit DL and DCA. The hotels are outrageously expensive that weekend. Anyone know why?
I became a member of best western years ago and find you get good rates there and if you are a AAA member you save about $20 a night. Anaheim inn BW is right across the street from DL entrance and stovalls Bw is a hop skip and a jump - Marciamcmouse  7.6 #7799 3:56PM
We stayed at Stovalls and it was very convenient to the park - BelleLuvr  226.7 #1284 4:08PM
Her problem is that everything close is booked :( - Linzee  515.2 #227 4:12PM
It's because it's my birthday weekend... Jk... I was wondering the same. - NurseJennJillO  307.5 #572 5:16PM
Mine, too! Happy early birthday to you! - meridafan  1032.5 #84 6:17PM
I'm going that weekend too and have to stay 3 miles away. With no car, we're going to have to ride the bus since the closest ART stop is a mile away. It's going to be busy and I think part of that is because that is the last weekend the discounted park hoppers are good for. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  321.2 #514 7:59PM
We're staying at the Days Inn in Garden Grove. 4 nights for $311 and there's a bus stop right outside their door. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  321.2 #514 8:03PM
yikes! I was thinking of renting a room the evening of the 9th! Guess not :) We have Goofy's Kitchen reservations for the 10th. Guess we're getting up early! - GarnerPhotography  321.4 #512 8:04PM

There are favorite places to eat in the parks but no one really talks about where they wouldn't eat. Although the food is basically all good, (it's Disney!) what places do you avoid? I would have to say the turkey leg cart.
PIZZA PORT!! 😖😖😖 - JenInWonderland  1025.1 #86 9:06PM

I don't eat meals much in the parks (anymore) I do lots of snacks lol but I'd have to say I really didn't like blue bayou I ate there once just to say I did but was unhappy and my kids sure were mad all they wanted was chicken strips lol I have to say though,I'm a very picky eater - lisaw  96.3 #3068 11:33PM

I am lucky if I get to Disneyland once a year and from looking at the lounge, many of you go multiple times a week. My question is to all of you is, "so how many times do you go to the park in a year?" ...and boy am I jealous!
70 times since march 1 - Radius  501.1 #236 6:52PM
About 300, maybe more - BaseballMickey_CM  2805.8 #16 10:37PM
My family and friends just assume that if I have 8 consecutive free hours, I'm at Disneyland. - Squirtortue  311.1 #551 11:56PM
5 to 6 days a week. Multiply that by 52... At least 260 days. - BCC  4640.5 #5 11:57PM

So if you were able to spend the night in Disneyland without anyone bugging you, what would you do in the park all by yourself?
I would walk the entire People Mover track to see what was left. Then I would explore inside Matterhorn mountain, go for a swim in Nemo's lagoon and finish my night off with a plate of Matterhorn macaroons inside the dream suite. - Linzee  515.2 #227 3:36PM
I love this! Can I come please! - HollyGolightlyPrincess  385.1 #345 4:27PM
Ahhhhh. Sounds perfect! Me too - SueBayou  2012.0 #34 4:30PM
The more the merrier - Linzee  515.2 #227 4:42PM
Oh I do this all the time! I mostly walk through the stores and look at everything, then sit on Main St. to watch all the happy people and wait two hours for a perfect spot to catch a night time show or parade. It's fabulous! - 559MickeyLover  266.9 #853 12:30PM
What would you do if you were able to stay after the Park closed? I would like to climb to the top of the Matterhorn and take the whole park in when it was totally empty and all the lights were on. - widowtallan  242.0 #1084 12:35PM
I'd love to play in the castle and ride EVERYTHING twice! - 559MickeyLover  266.9 #853 4:44PM
I would sleep in the bed on pirates and cuddle with the skeleton. - DaisyDork  170.0 #2005 4:26PM
I think I would just enjoy the amazing environment & take as many pictures as humanly possible. - VikkiMouse  182.2 #1831 4:27PM

I find myself daydreaming of getting a Coke and a pretzel and sitting on Main Street, my favorite place at Disneyland to people watch. What is your favorite place in the park for people watching?
Cafe Orleans, out on the patio while scarfing down some Pomme Frites. - Goofdog  169.8 #2010 1:45PM
