I'm playing the piano at Innoventions and a Disney CM comes up with an elderly lady next to her, listening to me play. I finish and realize that the older lady is blind and deaf and she is feeling the vibrations on the piano, essentially "listening" to me play. The smile on her face was amazing, and the CM assistant says that this is the happiest she has seen her all day. She sits down and we "pla More...
weeknight date at Disneyland!? That's unheard of for my hubby but he surprised me tonight! Dinner at Plaza Inn (our first time) then he was going to take me on a romantic boat ride but storybook canal boats were closed :/ so we went on Winnie the Pooh instead! now time for a dole whip float, churro and Enchanted Tiki Room. :D one happy wife right here!
WE'RE HOME!!! We were able to bring our baby boy home today :) thank you everyone for your prayers and pixie dust! it'll be a few weeks before we can get back to Disneyland again, but i don't care. I'm just glad my little prince is ok :)
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
