I remember that story. The drunk dad was all, "that's not child abuse! I only pushed him off the boat!" - Jacqueline 550.4 #208 12:11PM
Omg! I had a horrible Sword moment once when Anthony was little!! He came up behind me and whacked me across the back of thigh really hard. And before I could stop myself I jerked it out of his hand and broke it in half and threw the pieces in the trash can. He was screaming and people were staring!😂😂😂😂we never bought another sword. - Mrsblue 692.4 #150 12:15PM
I'm picturing what Sam would have done with a sword...😂😂😂😂😂😂 - bluefairy 628.9 #175 12:41PM

So this is going to be hard ticket after park hours? I don't do much mind the hard ticket events, but candlelight should be for everyone. 😏 - bluefairy 628.9 #175 4:05PM
Waiting to see what's happening with the choirs and auditions. WOW. Regardless of how many nights they'd want us, I wanna go as a guest, too! - ThatKimberly

I know there are other videos out there, but with everyone wearing the interactive ears last night I wanted to make something that really showcased the new Glow with the Show technology. Brought a couple HD cameras and set one up on the bridge and the other straight on. Kinda awesome to see all the ears interact!
Hope you enjoy!

I have known for a couple of months now that Merlin is coming back this summer for the first time in several years and will be doing daily sword in the stones shows once again in Fantasyland... I wasn't allowed to say anything but since this was posted I thought it was ok to do so..I told admin about it a long time ago, he can verify the news I told him months ago and that I am not just making this up because of this event...based on the timing I have an idea of what they were doing there and why....truly a magical moment for those kids and cant wait this summer for more kids to get the sword pulled out of the stone - Dave 8824.5 #2 10:30AM
that is so awesome! I'm not gonna tell mads since she tries every visit to pull the sword out, it would freak her out if it actually came out! I'm at work laughing thinking about it lol! - madsdad 1262.6 #65 10:31AM
Along with ladylikesdisney's post, here's my bad quality picture, but best I could do!! So amazing seeing the excitement in the children's faces after the sword went up!! Our hearts raced as we saw this!! 😄❤🏰✨
It was amazing!!!! Truly magical!! ✨🏰💗 - iPoca.

My (now 13 yr old) daughter was chosen by Merlin to pull the sword from the stone when she was about 4. The whole thing was so well done - we loved to watch one of the big burly dads chosen try (and fail) to do it. My daughter was so excited about it. (Though she did start to cry when Merlin said something about "forever" or "staying" - she thought she'd never be allowed to go home again. lol) - jmgphx

I did a search but couldn't find another post on this, I was just on the latimes website for the festival of books, April 21-22 and it looks like Julie Andrews is scheduled to be there. So far I saw she will be there on Sunday, the 22nd, at the Target children's stage, about 12:55.
Bump! In case anyone is interested in seeing Julie Andrews :). - kss4tink

Where's the target children's stage? Thanks for the info btw - cesium55
531.2 #220 12:33PM
You're welcome! Good question, I'm not sure where the stage, I'm sorry! We haven't been to the festival in years but I'm thinking they will have maps and it shouldn't be too hard to find. From what I remember, the festival isn't too big and I do remember seeing some sort of stage, which was easy to spot. - kss4tink 216.8 #1427 12:47PM
I guess the correct question is where's the festival of books? I didn't realize that's the official title - cesium55 531.2 #220 10:58PM
