My husband is prone to motion sickness and he takes Dramamine before going on rides that might give him problems.

I'll be sweeping Main St that night and maybe doing water art. Hope to see you! Be sure to check out the Star Wars character meet n greets in Tomorrowland! I've never heard of them making any guest sick yet! - Melody_CM  16113.8 #2 7:23AM
I can't go on the park on the 23rd as it is a Blockout day for me but I do hope to run in to you and see some water art - Donald1967  59.3 #4529 5:39PM
Not even Kylo Ren? πŸ˜‰ - redsoxcarlos  2992.2 #47 5:40PM
I don't know how well this works for roller coasters, but when my dog used to get carsick, our breeder recommended giving him a ginger capsule before long rides, as ginger quells nausea, and I liked that idea as an alternative to giving him Dramamine. Β I know it works for humans, too, which is one reason why kids used to be given ginger ale when they had the stomach flu. Β Might be worth looking into? Β  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  621.5 #338 8:33AM
My nephew eats ginger candy from world market and it makes a great difference for him  - TinyDancerTay  547.3 #387 10:46AM
Dramamine works!! My brother and my mom take it for flying and for some rides at DL!  - sheridanrabbit  209.4 #1917 11:45AM
We use ginger capsules before entering the park and again later of needed. Work like a charm! If already motion sick, they start to work within about 15 minutes. They can be find in a health food store as well as grocery stores in the vitamin/natural section. We don't leave home without them and can do all rides now! - ChurroChomper  148.4 #2784 7:14PM
Thank you everyone for the suggestions ginger sounds good and I remember after going on it my friend brought me some peppermint icecream to calm me down  - Donald1967  59.3 #4529 5:38PM
@donald1967 I have the bands to wear on my wrists when I get car sick. You could try those. I'm not a huge space fan either but I always ride it once. And I close my eyes at the beginning and end cuz those parts make me sick too :) but try the wrist bands. They work great! - brodysmommy  433.4 #518 7:34PM

If you want s good spot show up early and get in line, if you have a reg FP or a Dining package pass. I suggest to find a row of steps and stand at the top so you can see over heads.  - JenGwen323  2041.4 #81 3:10PM

Try to stay toward the front of the holding area (where they keep you until they start admitting people to the viewing area) until they open the viewing area. When they start admitting people, get ready to move fast. I would say that only a few of you need to get there early and you can spread out coats or other items to save room for the rest of your party. Just make sure everyone has their passes before hand. - MrsFletch  237.3 #1543 3:45PM

Like Melody said, figure out what your priorities are for your visit. If you go at the end of January, crowds will be more manageable but some rides will be closed for refurbishment. If you can put up with the crowds, December is a wonderful time to be in the parks.

Depends on your goals and priorities. The incomparable festive Christmas atmosphere does draw more guests, yet between fast passes and the expected rainy winter, you might be able to experience most of the attractions on your wish list. If your only concern is sharing the park with fewer guests, then after first week of January is best. Of course this is only my personal opinion and experience, I don't speak officially for Disney. - Melody_CM  16113.8 #2 11:50AM
It will be busier than the end of January, but so worth putting up with crowds. Nothing compares to Christmas as Disneyland. It is absolutely magical! - ocmama  38.6 #5406 11:29AM

This is definitely a lot of help.  I have been to Disneyland many different times of the year, but December is a big question mark for me.  Looking at past years, it seems like 50-60% capacity is normal except for the weekends leading up to the Christmas season.  - JediDug  302.1 #930 2:31PM

This seems like an appropriate place to make this comment: we just got back from WDW and had gotten the Premier pass last year for that reason. I was somewhat disappointed since we were not able to use the discount at most places. In the future, we won't bother. If we renew at all, it will be the Deluxe pass. Disneyland Resort is much more generous as far as places you can use your AP discount.

I have to agree about CC breakfast. Last time I was there, the scrambled eggs I got were bad! They were most definitely NOT real eggs. My husband thought they might have been made from powdered eggs, is that possible?
