Has anyone parked in the Pinocchio lot before? We will park there on our last day at Disneyland with our 40ft rv. I can't even find a parking map on the Internet! It it close? walking distance? Is getting to the parks a pain? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Pinocchio lot is right next to the tram. Very short walk 500 ft or less. - toarrispirate  262.9 #1206 3:17PM
It's right outside the Mickey & Friends parking structure (where AP parking is). It's super convenient, the tram comes from that lot to the front gate. Or you can even take a nice 10minute or less walk to the front of park from there by the sidewalks. Or cross the street and walk through DTD from the Disneyland Hotel end. - KennyV  990.8 #185 3:17PM
Oh interesting! We'll be there next Sunday so it might be busy. I was wondering if it was only for oversized vehicles or not. I'm looking forward to it! Thanks!  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 3:41PM
They should just call it Pinocchio level then people would know it's next to m n f . You go through the m n f payment booth to  get there. - secretagentangel  3061.6 #43 3:47PM

Can you still get Red's Apple Freeze at the Cozy Cone? And is it the exact same as LeFou's Brew at Walt Disney World? I've had LeFou's and I loved it!!

I can't give you an answer about the Red Apple Freeze but Le Fou's Brew is pretty much passim fruit and mango , very tart but tasty . Hope that helps a bit  - tracsant  1461.6 #2 5:34PM
I'm sorry I don't know. Asking questions early  can usually get you a better response so I'll bump it for you!  - secretagentangel  3061.6 #43 1:10PM
I've only had LaFou's Brew, but I googled and learned they are the same. The toasted marshmallow was a unique flavor. Very yummy. I'm not sure if they are still available at the Cone or not.  - JenGwen323  1824.0 #90 7:26PM
And if you want to try something similar but different, try the Boysen Apple Freeze at Maurice's Treats. Just be sure to stir all the red syrup into the apple first.  - JenGwen323  1824.0 #90 7:29PM
Yes! So yummy, but mix it all up first - PixiePrincessPolly  182.1 #2205 7:53PM

How early are people starting to get spots for Paint the Night along Mainstreet now? What about closer to Small World? I'm one of those that wants front row and my husband can't stand it cause of all the people who crowd in after you've been waiting!! 🚫

Last time we saw it we waited until the second showing. We got off Small World and walked right up to a front row spot. Trying to catch the first show you really need to plan a couple hours ahead because people stake out the spots for both the parade and the fireworks that start right after. - Autoalice  161.4 #2518 9:41PM
I hate that also! Good luck and enjoy - mmddgp  792.5 #8 6:27PM
Non MHP nights and weekend nights you will have to wait for a bit at IASW, but not 3 hours like Main Street.   second show last night I didn't see that many people saving spots by IASW 25 minutes before the show.  - secretagentangel  3061.6 #43 10:11PM
Thank you all so so much for your input guys! We haven't been to DL since the 60th started but I just bought AP's and we're going next month! I'mPlanning day 1 around Paint The Night! Thank you!! ! - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 4:07PM

I am completely in shock that Walt Disney World is ending The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios. This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! If any of you are considering Walt Disney World at Christmas, this will be your last year to see it, according to Disney Parks Blog. I highly recommend seeing it! 😒

I agree, shocked. Hope all that want to see this before it goes away gets the chance. An amazing display of holiday lights, unforgetable. - jacdanfan  10973.1 #3 10:50AM

The assoc press posted that wdw wanted to use the space for the star wars and toy story themed areas.  this really makes me mad.  wdw is nothing BUT empty space.  the lands do not even connect,  you have to leave the lands and be transported to another land.  so,  that should negate the need to obliterate a wildly popular holiday event area to put in something new!   uuuggghhhh........   yes,  i studied urban planning,  this stuff makes me craaazy.....  and as always   - MsTikiMermadam  679.1 #283 5:03PM
I agree! You're so right! Walt Disney World is not desperate for space like Disneyland is. There is a huge amount of land surrounding each park! If they wanted to keep the Streets of America and Osborne Lights, they could! Makes me mad too. I have videos of the start of Osborne Lights and it gives me chills! There is nothing like it at Disney World! 😒 I'm really torn up over this!  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 5:13PM

Are there any rv'ers who can give me a little review on an Rv park they have stayed at while at Disneyland? My go-to was bought by Disney to be made into an employee parking lot. πŸ˜”

We stayed at anaheim harbor resort last year. Very close to the park but we still drove (we have a bumper pull), but you can do the ART too. Very clean, small pool, no hot tub. Pretty much exactly what we expected for camping right next to disneyland. We enjoyed it.  - LuvMyMinnies  24.1 #6480 11:25AM

I am πŸ‘Œ this close to sealing a deal on Annual Passes for my fam! πŸ™Œ Convincing my husband has been rough! I've looked around for info on the hotel discounts that I've heard of for passholders but I can't find any concrete numbers. What are some hotel discounts offered for passholders? Thank you SO much! I've been wondering this for years-Why did Walt choose Sleeping Beauty's castle for Disneyland and not his very first princess, Snow White?

Hm there is a story about this in his books , but one story goes is about the size but when he did build it it was very big, as the castle walls goes to princess Faire area and around Alice since the trees where very small at not hide most of the extended walls like they do today  - pikarich  4991.7 #23 5:35PM
Wow, makes sense though!  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 5:59PM
OK nothing concrete but Walt loved a lot of nature and history and was inspired  for many elements in his projects. Sleeping beauty was inspired by a castle from the 19th century and then it's the size of it makes it a focal center for the park but looked bigger in 1955 because of what I said for the trees earlier. He got the same inspiration  for the matterhorn and other areas for disneyland, the frontier lands and of course the main street USA similar to his hometowns I think - pikarich  4991.7 #23 6:46PM
It's pretty amazing that he made such monumental decisions and they were extremely successful! Sleeping Beauty hadn't yet come out and it could have been a flop, but it wasn't! It was probably a risky move instead of going with Snow White, which was already a huge success! Walt was a true genius! Thank you for your info pikarich! I need to read his bio!  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 7:00PM
I read somewhere that he chose Sleeping Beauty because the movie was coming out about the same time and he wanted to promote the movie. Not sure if that's the true reason or not. - GrandCircleTour  362.1 #617 5:34PM
I heard that as well. Not sure if it's true or not, but an interesting theory.  - ekwhite  473.0 #437 5:53PM
So interesting! I just looked it up and Disneyland opened in 1955 but Sleeping beauty didn't premier until 1959!Β  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 5:58PM
I was thinking that is was too early for the movie too.  - GrandCircleTour  362.1 #617 6:10PM
Toniasmith can right as there is a blogpost from the walt disney company that says in order to promote the film, thecastle was named after sleeping beauty... The film was in development when dland opened - otilegna  2385.5 #60 8:44PM

When do you think (if at all) Disneyland will use the Memory Maker system like Walt Disney World? I have this exact pose on my good camera but I kid you not, the Photopass/memory maker pics are way better! It was soo worth it! #WDW

Hopefully never. I just got back from WDW and they're still looking for missing, very expensive, pictures.  I heard, over there, in a year.  Due to a "technical problem", my video can't be restored. - Winnie111286  9259.3 #8 5:20PM
Oh no! I'm sorry! I didn't have any problems with my pictures or the videos. I hope you get it sorted out.  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 5:22PM
I won't ever use it for reasons  like this. I have heard a lot of similar complaints about the system. - Lelundrial  615.7 #323 8:00PM
I have no idea what that is. Could you explain to those of us who have never been to WDW what Memory Maker is? 😊thanks - misschurro  6191.3 #18 5:24PM
Haha! Oops! We prepaid 150$ to be able to download all of our fast pass photos and videos. We took full advantage of it and ended up with over 100 pictures! Ride photos too!  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 5:29PM
It's 169 now. The Mine Train and TOT have videos. Every picture taken by a PhotoPass is yours to keep. They scan your Magic Band except for the rides. You have to touch the band to a Ball thingy. The Magic Band is your lifeline at WDW. Everything is attached to it. It's on you all the time. - Winnie111286  9259.3 #8 7:57PM
It's also waterproof so you people can wear them to the water parks also. Everyone staying on property gets one.  - Winnie111286  9259.3 #8 8:05PM

Take it...nothing will happen to it. Just don't put it on the floor or wet counter tops (bathrooms). I highly doubt you'll go on daredevil adventures where it will suffer a dreadful accident. We are heading to Disney World in less than 2 months and I am indecisive on what I should do about a camera! I have a mediocre camera and a mediocre camcorder. Both old and not fantastic. We have the Disney Memory Maker which gives us unlimited downloads on any Photopass photos so what would you do? Any recommendations? What about a GoPro? We are an active family, travel, ride motorcycles, and off  More...

I just got the new GoPro 4 Silver and it's awesome for those occasions when you have people in front of you and you don't want head shots in your way. It also takes movies and you don't need to worry about it getting out of focus. It comes with a few attachments, but I recommend buying the "selfie-stick", so there's no need to ask anyone to take your picture. πŸ˜ƒ - LaBelleParis  1351.8 #125 6:26PM
I think the combination of a GoPro and Photopass would be stellar! - MJmouse  281.3 #1017 6:46PM

I saw that Christmas time at Disneyland begins November 13th and we are planning a visit November 11th and 12th. Figures. What I am curious about is what happens on the days just before the big changeover. Are the decorations up but the Christmas parade hasn't started? Will IASM be closed until the 13th? Please help! Thanks so much!

In my experience, the fireworks were Xmas already but the parade doesn't start Until the official date. IASW has been open prior to the start date also but there may be times it isn't. I would wait to see what the calendar on Disney says for it to be official - brodysmommy  422.5 #505 3:15PM
And yes pretty much all the decorations are up since they have to do it every night. There may be new ones the night before hit for the most part they are all up. They usually tape the parade for Xmas day the weekend or 2 before so most of then need to be up for that - brodysmommy  422.5 #505 3:16PM
In not sure about IASW or the parade, but I'm pretty sure most of the decor is up a few days before (maybe just a few last minute touches missing), so you'll have the Christmassy feel.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  605.5 #328 3:18PM
The transformation for Xmas time at the. Parks begins very early. The parks start being decorated for Xmas time starting in mid October...the back portions of the parks are decorated first and make their way towards the will see snow on the castle before October is over and holiday merchandise in stores...after Halloween Time ends its a mad dash to place the final decor for the holidays in the front portions of the will see most holiday decor up before the official start of the holidays and the Xmas tree is put up too :-) IASM holiday version opens up as Xmas time in the parks officially begins :-) - uscdisneyteacher  7723.1 #10 3:21PM

Parents: Disney is magical at any and every age, but at what age would you say would be or have been the MOST magical for your kids? I'm writing something and looking into the argument over the golden age to take kids to Disneyland. Thank you!

I think that the "golden" age is different for every kid.  In my opinion, the best time is when they are old enough to ride most rides without being too scared, yet young enough to still believe in all of the magical experiences that make Disney so special. - angelaprkns  10.3 #10451 4:53PM

Fingers crossed!! I got my 4 year old to go on Radiator Springs Racers and Soarin by watching YouTube videos! She realized they weren't scary! Now Splash, that won't happen for a while!  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 5:11PM
I don't have kids of my own but when I saw my friends 5 year old  at the parks... It seemed to me like that is the golden age. - missmimi90  2014.5 #75 4:56PM
See, I also feel 5 is an awesome age. At around 6, children start distinguishing real from pretend. That has to be a sad day when you take your kids to disneyland and they have decided that characters aren't real. That will be worse for me than when they stop believing in Santa!  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 5:00PM
My daughter is 9 and still believes!! - PrincessAuroraMomma  592.9 #334 6:24PM
I don't know if there truly is a magical age. I think every kid and every adult is different.  I think it all depends on the situation and the trip. I'm sure taking my granddaughter for her first trip will be very magical for me and my kids. But for her will probably be later on in life - grumpyinphx  624.7 #314 8:19AM
My boyfriend and I go a lot to Disneyland. We are over 28 and still believe the magic! We always say "that's Disney magic for you!" When something awesome happens while there. I know my parents took me to Walt disney world when I was 5 and I don't remember it at all! - PrincessDaisy  325.3 #747 9:06AM

Any creative people out there have any ideas on something cute that I can do with all these old tickets? Thanks!

You could put them under glass on a coffee table! That would look awesome - SPandEvLover  4301.0 #31 7:10PM
I love that idea!!! - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 11:58PM
Use them as tissues to wipe your tears wondering why you didn't buy an AP. but actually Christmas ornaments sound cool - UTDISNEYFAMILY  1859.7 #89 7:05PM

I KNEW a comment like this was coming! However, these are trips taken over the course of 5 or 6 years! We are twice a year Disney visitors, so yes, we get hosed on ticket prices. Oh well...c'est la vie! πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰ - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 11:56PM
But you're right! And I have thought about that soooo many times! If only the So cal annual pass discount covered a little more of central cal!! πŸ˜«πŸ˜‰ - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 12:20AM
decoupage onto picture frame with photos from your trips? - OhanaPhoto  4569.2 #25 2:14PM
You could do a shadow box with them and add a few small souviners like the pressed pennies or pins even - dennibowles  56.0 #4455 2:48PM

Good afternoon! Last time we were at DL, I saw a man drawing characters as letters on name plaques near the Matterhorn. Each letter was either a princess or a pirate, etc. Can anyone tell me the name of the company and if they are still there? I'd love to get one for my daughter. I should have just bought it when I saw it. Now I'm kicking myself! πŸ˜’

Don't know the name of the company but I believe that person is there all the time  - bobster56  230.3 #1585 2:45PM
Thank you! That's great! I was hoping to find a website of theirs possibly but I don't know their name! At least I can get it on our next trip! 😊 - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 2:49PM
I agree. They are there all the time. Near Edelweiss Snacks - Melody_CM  9897.3 #6 2:56PM
Thank you all!  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 3:55PM
We have had 1 done in the park and 2 years later we had one done at DTD. The one from the park is definitely better quality. I don't know if it is because it was done somewhere different or because it was 2 years later.  - disneymama1  157.9 #2571 6:09PM

About an hour ago, Frozen merchandise was completely stocked on the Disney Store website. I added an Elsa dress to my shopping cart and then it disappeared. Now they are completely sold out! Anna dresses are still in at the moment. This Frozen craze is insane!

The $20 off coupon is valid today, so the dresses are $30. I'm not surprised. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  685.3 #275 11:06AM
20$ off coupon? How!!? - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 11:11AM
If you preordered Frozen through the Disney Store, you got a $10 of $20 or $20 off $40. It's valid in store and online. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  685.3 #275 11:13AM
Ah, ok. Thank you! :)  - MamalovesMinnie  21.9 #6805 11:15AM
