My son is a HUGE Darth Maul fan, and this Darth Maul realized it, gave him a fist bump and a little interaction which I'm sure made his whole birthday trip. Now if only there was a way to meet him lol. Thank you so much!

Celebrated my sons birthday at Goofys Kitchen lastnight. Great experience. Even Minnie was part of his birthday song. Today's our last day in the park :( we never want to leave.
A mutual feeling we all get. Glad he had a wonderful birthday. - E-Ticket  772.6 #128 6:38AM

I know people who pass their 3 year olds off as 2 so they don't pay. I don't think I could do it. I know it's expensive to pay for such a small child but it's the right thing to do ... Right??
I think the pass/ticket requirement should not go by age... It should go by height... I passed off my kid as 2 until she was 4 because she is small/pettite. I didn't think it was fair to have to buy her a full price pass since a lot of the attractions at Disney and CA Adventure park require you to be 40" or taller to be able to ride. That's why I say a better system would be to go by height rather than age... At 40" you should have to buy a pass or ticket for your child. They should have a place for kids to be measured at the gates just like the attractions have. If they are 40" time to buy a pass/ticket. That way their is no trying to guess age, or trying to hide your kid in a stroller. I always felt shady doing that... But it's just not fair to charge as much for a small child that can't go on everything. 😌 so says I.... - BambooMike  122.0 #2700 12:34PM
I think universal studios has something like this! Key word I Think lol - MikaDreamsEverythingDisney  249.1 #1023 12:36PM
I agree with you that it should go by height. I think that's fair. However, we don't get to decide these things and have to deal with it. - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 12:37PM
But we do decide... It just takes enough people to complain. Disney is in no way a perfect company they make many mistakes and in my opinion this is one of their biggest. 2nd only to the Princess fantasy fair meet and greet setup... - BambooMike  122.0 #2700 12:59PM
Please keep in mind there are almost 50 'rides' for the under 40" crew and only about 16 they can't ride. Over 70 attractions they can experience and that's not including parades. - Linzee  518.9 #225 1:03PM
Go ahead and complain. Let me know how that works out for you. - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 1:10PM
Ps, I like you linzee. Stay awesome. - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 1:10PM
Complaining is completely different from purposefully sneaking a child in...just sayin' - Darlingwendi  645.9 #168 1:11PM
Here is the list of rides a child under 40 can't ride... Starting with DCA...Radiator Springs racers... TOT... Soarin over Ca... Grizzly River Rapids... California Screamin...Goofy's sky school... Jumpin Jelly Fish... Now Disneyland... Big Thunder Mt... Indiana Jones...The Matterhorn... Space Mt. .. Splash Mt. and Star tours... Tell me those aren't the best attractions at both parks... Therefor unfair to the vertically challenged (small kids). - BambooMike  122.0 #2700 1:26PM
Ahhh 40" not kids under 40. - BambooMike  122.0 #2700 1:27PM
I don't think those are the best attractions. POTC, the mark twain riverboat, and the little mermaid are my favorites and ironically they don't have height restrictions. You're looking at this situation with the cup half empty instead of half full. - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 1:29PM
Those are great attractions... But I mean... Come on... The reality is after you get off the Mark Twain. Your right at the walk on for BTMRR. It's like starving to death going to Flo's cafe and just smelling the air. - BambooMike  122.0 #2700 1:45PM
Character is built when decisions are made when you are alone, or when you can get away with it. - Villescas8(V8)  589.1 #186 1:46PM
I can see your point but I will say I don't go to Disneyland for the big hit rides/attractions. I go for the feel... The nostalgia... The magic. Yes I know... But I'm sure there's a group of us that dont get our kicks from the rides. Therefore I'd be paying to get into the park but not riding the rides... Same as someone not tall enough to ride the rides. Just my opinion. - EpicDio  381.7 #355 1:53PM
I totally agree!! My cousin was very small when we took her. I think we only took her like twice before she got her pass. Now, if my son ends up being really tall for his age (which I'm sure he will) and he's 40' by age 2 then we will pay for his pass without any question. - MrsDisneyMommy29  266.3 #864 2:06PM
I agree with epicduo. I go for the atmosphere, the magic, and the food. In my opinion if someone wants only the thrill rides, then Disneyland might not be the place for them. Also, bamboomike, I see what you're saying, but if a kid hasn't been on the ride, then they don't know what they are missing. It's up to the parent to make the best of the trip no matter what restrictions the child might have. What we get out of experiences is directly effected by what attitude we approach the situation with. - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 2:07PM
Don't get me wrong... I love Disneyland for many other reasons than just thrill rides.. And me and my family have a great time reguardless. I just do not see it as fair to charge the same for a child that can't go on everything in the parks... That's all I am saying. It's still fun and yes I love the atmosphere and the magic... Like i said my family and I are not there just for the thrill rides, but it would be nice to have the option if I'm paying the same. - BambooMike  122.0 #2700 2:21PM
No I see what you're saying and I get your point. I do agree with you that ticket prices should be by height, but in the meantime I don't think it's right to steal by lying about a child's age. Just my opinion. - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 2:25PM
Wow seriously? I'm ashamed of some of you. Passing off a kid as younger to get free admission is plain stealing, no matter how you try and justify it. Look at what a great example you are setting for your children! You must be so proud. - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 12:31PM
You're in my head :) - Darlingwendi  645.9 #168 12:36PM

@ladylikesdisney, I totally agree with you! My son is three and I told the truth when we booked our 6-night upcoming vacation w/ 6-day park hoppers and it was an additional $800. It was the right thing to do. Disney provides tons of entertainment, smiles, and memories that are priceless. That's not cheap for them to provide to all of us. Just my two cents. My son can't wait to go ... asks everyday are we leaving tomorrow mom :) - BibbidiBobbidiBoo  33.1 #4248 1:29PM
I can't lie. I've done it (not at DL) but since I look so young I would sometimes use my school ID (cover up the Faculty part) and get the student ticket at movie theaters. I figured there had to be a benefit to looking like I'm in high school! But now you have shamed me. - LilSterner  2656.0 #18 1:59PM

Hi genie. Your ethics are questionable 😜 - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 2:07PM
I could only imagine the confusion on my kid's face hearing me lie. At the zoo I had a similiar moral dilemna when she turned 5 and no longer free admission, but no way would I want my kid to hear me lie, it would take away too much from morality talks we would have to have later. - madsdad  1130.6 #72 2:24PM
hehehe LLD. You were raised right, good job to your mother. She did a good job. - VfxGenie  1353.7 #59 2:54PM
I had the opposite problem, my oldest had always been super tall so when he was two people always thought he was much older. Not cool to pass off kids as younger just to get cheaper price. Or in this case. Think of all the people that will never get to even experience Disneyland even once. So i'm grateful to pay what i'm expected to pay and wish everyone else was as well. - Tinkerbellmom4  296.4 #629 2:56PM
Cookies and ice cream? Rainbows and puppies? Whiskers on kittens? Come on folks, just a simple yes or no would be nice. :) lol - ElMeekey  5.9 #9236 2:53PM
Pay the price for your child . Honesty is always the best policy . Plus you will feel good about yourself . I just bought my 3 year old his first AP. and could pass for a one year old . Small price to pay to go to the happiest place on earth with no regrets :) - MarcoInTheAz  598.0 #184 2:58PM
