I've been a Disney fan since I can remember! Love being in Disneyland! Premium AP holder! Favorite ride of all time : HM followed by TOT, SM, Screamin, and Pirates :-D If you are ever in the parks I love hanging out with fellow Disney
Saturday night me and my beautiful lady went to the Dapper weekend events at the Grand Californian. After waiting to hours and then standing posed for a very long and a bit painful 30 minutes, we were rewarded with this beautiful sketch and perfect momento of our first dapper day together. It gives me all kinds of feels when I look at it ;-)
Look what arrived today!! So excited. No more dead phones half way through the day for us. Will be using for the first time, this weekend for Dapper day. My girl and I are so excited for our first Dapper day outing :-) hope we see some of you!
So I thought I would share this since I knew you would REALLY appreciate this. Last weekend I had the pleasure of visiting my buddy, Tony Swatton's shop. Tony is a blacksmith armorer and has made weapons and props for a ton of films, TV, commercials, etc. some of his work includes Blade, Zorro, Master and Commander... He made most of the Weapons for Pirates of the Caribbean, but one of his early r More...
Flashback Friday :-) this was last Friday and it was my girlfriends first time at the parks during the Holidays. We had just finished WOC and rushed over just in time to catch the end of fireworks and snow. She was so overjoyed she began to cry :-) I love this girl so much ;-)
I have an AWESOME girlfriend! Last time we were at the parks, I looked all over both parks for 3 days for these... No luck :-( well this week my GF's cousin was at the parks and my GF asked her to pick up a pair of these if they were back in stock. Well as you can see they were and my honey couldn't wait till X-mas to give them to me :-) seeing as how I have a movie accurate Vader Costume she felt More...
When I went to Stan Lee's Comikaze this year. I had the awesome opportunity to meet the lovely miss Alyssa Milano. She was so sweet and told me I looked amazing. Like every other man my age, I had a huge crush on her as a teenager, so this was surreal :-) She is still as gorgeous as ever ;-)
I was hoping someone could help me! Can you please let me know if you have seen the Mickey Vader Helmets back in the park? I really wanted one the last time I went and they were sold out! I have friends who could go to the park and get me one but want to know if and where they have them. Thanks y'all :-)
So one of the highlights from MHP was after waiting in a very long to meet Mickey and Minnie. Once we got to the front I flexed for Minnie and Mickey immediately pushed me away and tried to keep Minnie from seeing my. My GF tried to win Mickeys attention so Minnie got upset with him. Mickey wouldn't let me stand by his lady but she was adamant about doing so!! After scrambling back and forth we fi More...
Besides the Halloween party, my girlfriend and I spent the weekend celebrating our 1 year anniversary, which is on the 27th. I took her to a place where neither one of us had eaten (which is rare for me), SteakHouse 55! It was amazing !!! We both did the Prixe Fixe menu! Everything down to the service was magical! We ate soo much !
We had an AMAZING time at the Halloween Party. We created quite the battle between Mickey and Minnie when I showed her my muscles. Bummed I didn't make it to the mansion meet up. Got to the park a smidge to late! Anyways. Hope to make it tomorrow for the party! Goodnight!
Yay! Finally the day has come! Me and my honey, on our way to the parks!! We are wearing Monsters, Inc inspired outfits ;-) then tonight.. Gaston and Claudia will be partying it up. Can't wait to meet some of you!
Groundbreaking for the Temple of the Forbidden Eye occurred in August 1993. More than 400 Imagineers worked on its design and construction. Tony Baxter led a core project team of nearly 100 Imagineers.
Several early concepts were considered for Indy including a walk-through adventure and a high-speed mine car adventure within a temple. To avoid a long queue, Imagineers even considered using Jungle Cruise launches to shuttle guests to the loading area. The team tested key show elements in a Burbank warehouse on a full-sized elevated track that resembled a freeway. This enabled the team to test set pieces, lighting, effects, transport clearances and motion profiles.
To create space for the 0.5-mile queue area and the 50,000-square-foot show building, an area of the former "Eeyore" parking lot was demolished, and the Monorail and Jungle Cruise attractions were rerouted. As I'm sure some of you know, an old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot.
To watch some scenes from the opening ceremony:
Happy 19th birthday Indy!
Have you been on this attraction? If so, what is your favorite part or scene?
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
