Wow. Definitely going to have to reschedule my trip to DL. Was gonna go jan 9, 10, and 11, but forget that!! Matterhorn and HM are gonna be closed!!! As these are 2 of my faves and I haven't been to DL in 8 yrs I will def be rescheduling. 😢
Gotta love working at a children's hospital. I have to sit with this kid all day and make sure he doesn't pull out his IV. I am getting paid to sit and watch movies. Just finished Santa clause. Now watching Santa clause 2, then lion king!!!
I need a Disney pick me up. Today I found out my grandma has Alzheimer's and I am really sad and scared about it! Not only that but one of my babies at work is about to pass away! I'm having a sad day. Maybe listening to some mw radio will help.
Omg I am watching my dads old 8mm family movies that he converted to DVD and he is at Disneyland riding the autopias in one! It's so cool!!! I think it was taken the year Disneyland opened! So cool to watch
I know this came out a long time ago but i just watched it again recently. Was anyone else as disappointed in it as I was? Being a Tim Burton and Johnny depp film as well as being my favorite Disney story maybe my expectations were way too high. But come on. . . Underhand? I don't like it
Out of curiosity I clicked on the "what's next" button and it shows me what rides are closest to me. Thank god I did because I just realized that splash mountain is only 2040681.34 feet away from me. I'm gonna start walking now.
Sorry guys I already posted this but I can't find it to read the responses. Just wondering would the secod week in Jan 9th 10th 11th be a good time to go to DL? Would the LA kids be back in school and would they still have Xmas decor up?
Hi everyone. I am new to MW. Well actually I've been reading a lot of posts just haven't been saying anything. So I decided to introduce myself. Hi . Oh and I am going to DL in January. Havent been for 10 years. Super excited beyond words!!!!
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
