Love everything Disney, the running joke amongst my family and friends is that I may need an intervention. It is a contest to see who loves it more my daughter or me.

No Goofy's Flight School or Mickeys WOD!  I have ridden Goofy's before but it gives me awful anxiety.  I don't like the height and openness.  I ride Screamin, but it had never break down with me on, cause we will be finished! Lol

Goofy Sky School. Nothing will make me not feel like I am going to dump out the side, around a turn πŸ™ˆ - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  5455.0 #17 1:38PM

I go on it, but every time I do, I'm terrified that the entire car is going to come off the track during a turn, sending me to my death below. Especially sitting on the right side. lol - Alicewhoareyou  1935.5 #75 2:58PM

So, yesterday, a foreign (German, or Czech? not sure) family was sitting in row 2 behind me on POTC.  Their son (maybe 7-8 years old) was in the row directly behind me with his sisters, while the parents were in row 3.  As we floated past Blue Bayou, the son started yelling and screaming (I assume he was scared of the guy in the rocking chair) we moved closer to the skull and crossbones, he literally panicked and continued to this point, we were hovering over the cliff, about to go down the chute, when he stood up and tried to climb out of he boat.  His father then grabbed him, everyone was yelling in panic, I'm siting in the front thinking "this is going to be a walk off, they are going to turn the lights on, and this kid is going to be in the water".  THEN....a CM comes over he loud speaker and says "sit down...keep your arms and hands inside the boat"....if it wasn't for the kid's father having him in a straight jacket armhold, we would not have gone over the edge. I had to turn around and say "it's ok, it's going to be fine.", which he didn't understand and I didn't understand him either. LOL - Alicewhoareyou  1935.5 #75 3:06PM
Wowzers!! Intense - MommyandBash  178.3 #2201 3:21PM
Poor TOT for him. - BelieveInMagic  107.1 #3386 3:24PM
wonder if it was the pitch dark ahead of him that triggered him or what?  i have ridden potc since 1969,  and there used to be a bit of lighting or reflection in the first drop.  you could see the sides.  now,  it is pitch black.  i have to grab on,  and brace my feet (only able to in 2nd row or further back)   clench my eyes shut....... not fun.  the only reason i still go on it is cos it is such an amazing ride.   - MsTikiMermadam  364.3 #587 5:34PM

The only thing with starting the back is that is where most of the walkers can be found.  So here is suggestion, if you can't submit a time get to your corral early.  That way you can be in the front.  That will put you in front of that group of walkers.  Then you will just have to work your way up from there.   Not ideal but if you can't submit a time that will be best.&n  More...

It is more than worth it! Every corral I have moved up has improved my race experience. You start sooner and the front corrals are smaller. Think of the thousands of fewer runners on the course ahead of you! A less crowded course makes for a better experience. Finally, being stuck in a corral with runners slower than you is no fun! You can only go as fast as those around you and can waste a lot of energy trying to zigzag around slower runners and walkers.  - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1103.4 #3 3:23PM
How do you turn in a time?  On run Disney?  Thanks. - MinnieMousewife  886.5 #187 4:01PM

In my point of view, it's worth it to get that 10k pace turned in, if you think you'll do well in an earlier corral. Β I didn't submit proof of time for my first half (like you, I didn't have any local races that would qualify). Β I am an active person and I trained for a 2:20-2:30 finish, but because I didn't get proof submitted, I was placed in the third to last corral. Β I did get frustrated in the narrower sections going through DL because everyone around me was quite a bit slower than my natural pace--it's hard to slow down when you're in a groove, my muscles start to get tight. Β More importantly, though, I found that many didn't seem to follow runner etiquette (ex: walkers stay to the right; groups should try to stay single-file or move in pairs; runners pass on the left, etc). Β The last few corrals have way more people in them than the earlier ones, too. There were times I felt slightly unsafe and I witnessed a girl trying to jog (and doing the right thing by passing on the left) fall hard because others weren't paying attention. Β You're going to be the most comfortable if you're placed with people who have a similar pace as yours, so if you think you'd do well in an earlier corral, my advice is to sign up for a 10K that will give you an accurate and official proof of time, even if it means going out of your area. Β πŸ‘ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  598.7 #317 3:37PM

Omg! When I was a kid we ate at this restaurant right across from the boats that take you to & from Alcatraz. We decide to eat before heading over to the island. While we were waiting for our food, a waitress dumps a full pitcher of soda all over me! (I was sitting at the edge) all she could do was say sorry & ran off.. No one came over to offer any towels or at least tell me where the restroom was. After walking around looking for someone to ask for napkins my dad got pissed off & demanded we get some help. No one was concerned at all so my mom grabbed (what I believe was ) the tablecloth & uses that to help me dry up. After no real success my dad says lets go & we all storm out of there.. I thought ok so no lunch but Alcatraz here we come! (It was the only thing I chose to do for that trip) sadly we got in the car & before I know it we are heading home & not the the boat... Thanks to that waitress I have yet to visit day I hope to finally go!!  - MisFit.Mouse  627.5 #299 11:33PM

It is pricey but is very doable.  The nice thing about WDW is they have tons of resorts.  Ranging from 100 a night to 500 a night.  My family went for 8 days last year for 4200.  Hotel, tickets and airfare.  Total trip with food and souvenirs was 5500.  Nice thing is you can book up to year in advance and you have till 45 days before you leave to pay it off.

I have gone online and start pricing a vacation, but never complete it (dreaming); I will get offers for vacations at WDW in my email.  - Sugarbuzz  206.9 #1833 10:55PM
I'm a travel agent (not with Disney) and it's also worth it to at least check with one. We have wholesellers we use. Depending on the specials and stuff we can sometimes save you a ton or not really at all. But it's worth a look. - Poisen_Ivy  279.2 #1002 9:15PM
We have been looking at going to WDW in April 2016.  Trying to figure out if it's worth it to upgrade our Premium AP'S to the Premier versus tickets.  WDW AP services didn't have all info - discounts avail. Etc. - FanofGaston  227.3 #1572 9:29PM
We went in March, we only upgraded one of our APs to Premier to get the room discount.  The AP discount at WDW is only 10 percent and not that many places take it.  Although if you have the premier card, you can purchase a Tables in Wonderland card for 100.00 that gives you 20 percent off in some of the restaurants.  We did that because we had several sit down meals so it saved a little bit. - Thumper13  488.8 #402 9:36PM
I checked and upgrading to Premier is about the same price as a 5 day ticket (can't remember if it's a park hopper).  - JediKitty  908.1 #182 11:23PM
Yes if everyone in the family is premium, it makes total sense to upgrade to premier.  I should have added that we only upgraded mine because the rest are deluxe. - Thumper13  488.8 #402 6:50PM
We just went in January. For 2 adult tickets (9 day park hopper) and 1 child ticket, 10 nights at Pop century and the meal plan we only spent $2600 (I don't remember the exact amount). And our flights were about $420 each (we had to pay for 3 and my husbands was free). So it really wasn't too bad. Now, my soccer friend just went to DL 2 weeks ago. They had 3 adult and 1 child 3 day park hoppers and stayed at paradise pier sun-thurs and that trip cost them $3300!! I think our trip to wdw was very well priced in my opinion! Yes, we consider it a 'big trip' since you do really need to spend at least a week in the parks to make sure you do and see everything and then need 2 days for travel. But the value resorts are a great choice for price for there  - brodysmommy  407.8 #512 9:59PM

Is this one of the hard plastic snap on cases or one of the softer rubber ones?

This product is TinkerSchelle Approved!!!✨ - TinkerSchelle  1768.5 #86 12:15AM
Ok-so this is how it works: there is a sensor on the opposite side of the castle that reacts to LIGHT -so turn your brightness up to an appropriate level, and the outside will light up when you get phone calls, texts, etc!!!!! I really like it! And I have my "when you wish upon a star" ringtone on to make it PERFECTLY MAGICAL! - TinkerSchelle  1768.5 #86 2:18PM
It also turns off automatically after 36-41 seconds - TinkerSchelle  1768.5 #86 2:36PM
