Does anyone know why merchandise discounts for AP holders expires at the end of the year?

The discount of 20% for Premium and 10% for others was supposed to be temporary when it started a few years back. The expiration date of the discount keeps getting pushed as the listed date comes near. Before the current discount it was 10% for Premium only. - LilSterner 2686.2 #20 10:16PM

my iPad cover. had to put a carsland patch on their using shoe Goo because some of the faux leather ripped off when I was messing with the patches on it and the sticky stuff behind the patch ripped the top layer off.
